Independent, eclectic, family friendly and host to some bass thumpin' rave sheds. Nozstock caters for festival goers of all types, from the veteran festival aficionado through to those newly affected by the festival bug. It has evolved from a gathering of 50 friends into an intimate musical odyssey joining the dots between pop, ska, folk, funk, soul, indie, drum’n’bass, psytrance, house and a whole lot more. It is now firmly established as one of the country’s leading boutique festivals. 

The Orchard Stage is set at the foot of a natural arena on the side of the gently sloping valley. Alongside the farmhouse is the Garden Stage, which provides a more eclectic lineup, turning electronic by sundown whilst a converted cowshed, the Cubicles, pushes out sub-thumping bass and dubstep through to the early hours.

The festival is truly home-grown and hand-made – quite literally in fact, with a small army of grass roots supporters helping to create the wonderfully themed environment each summer. Nozstock is the quintessentially British festival – a little bit eccentric, a lot of fun, full of wonder, enchantment… and a touch of magic.

Nema-Kuta is a drummer first and foremost, spending much time learning and performing drums.

Having worked with some renowned musicians and producers he creates a fresh sounding selection that roots from across the world.

In 2017 he started North Fire Sound alongside DJ & producer Papa Shanti, Sista Nem & Samphire. A custom built heavyweight reggae sound system. 

Highlights of Nema-Kuta's career include performing at Glastonbury, Boom Town, Edinburgh Wee Dub Festival, Beat Herder, Shambala. Including sets on Mungo's Hi Fi, Arcadia, Electrikal Sound System and working alongside An Dannsa Dub, The Police Rave Unit, Club Samedia, Dr Meaker, Dub Mafia, and Jinx in Dub.

Depending on the dance his sets can cover Dub to Jungle, World to Techno, Disco to Garage, and beyond.

Spawned early in 2013, this ten-headed beast emerged and stormed Manchester with a potent energy…

With grooves so deep you’ll be stuck in them for weeks, horns that inject heavy doses of passion, and richly layered guitars and keys, we create a sonic landscape that ringleader and frontman Dave McCarthy uses to preach the twisted gospel of Salutation Dub Collective.

Transcending genre, we swing from soul to psychedelia, disco to dub, all the while retaining a sound that is unmistakably rooted in a desire to keep our music raw and our crowd baying for more.

Being regular favourites at Manchester’s hotbed of creativity Antwerp Mansion, we are just as at home playing here as we are at house parties, nightclubs and festivals.
