It was my first time playing in a club for the city crowd, so I wasn’t sure how the prog-psy elements would land, but the energy on the dance floor said it all.
I started slow at 122 bpm, built it up to 140, then eased it back down again… a little journey through deep grooves, hypnotic layers, and driving psy energy.
People told me they felt it, and that means everything.

salvajoe is a DJ and ocean researcher whose love for music is rooted in self-expression, connection, and freedom. Having landed on Ngunnawal Country in early 2022, she quickly fell in love with the local underground and bush doof culture, spaces where sound and community meet under open skies. DJing became one of her key creative outlets, allowing her to move beyond the analytical into the intuitive and emotional.
salvajoe curates immersive sets that blend hypnotic techno with hints of psy, taking dancers on a journey through bass-heavy rhythms and atmospheric grooves. Her selections are fluid, expressive, and often charged with subtle tension and release.
Now a resident DJ with RPG and a member of the Canberra Bass Babes community, salvajoe continues to share her evolving sound across dance floors near and far.
