The Black Backed Jackal was formed in the majestic city of Cape Town. It became a very international project with people of all different backgrounds and races. Belgium born Sam Van Coillie and South-African/Scottish Sam Anderson are the main songwriters in the band and are inspired by music of bands like Oasis, Noel Gallagher, Foo Fighters, Ryan Adams and others. The Black Backed Jackal are an example how the influence of rock music exceeds continents and is loved by people all over the globe.
After touring the Cape Town area and recording Eyes Wide For The Cunning, the band filmed two video's and a live acoustic set. Recently they made the UK their home base, where they are working on their first full album.
