BASICS:
Elucidate is a trance duo based in the US. The Elucidate DJ and record producer team is made up of Ken Loi and Sean Beckwith[2]. Since 2005 they have produced and performed  together, releasing numerous trance songs and remixes on a wide variety of labels. 

LABELS:
Although still remixing and releasing tracks on various other labels, the Elucidate duo are currently signed to the record label Perfecto, a label which became legendary for their trance releases in the 90's and has continued to be an influential label in the trance genre today. Perfecto Records is owned by trance and house music legend, Paul Oakenfold. The Elucidate song "Carousel" was featured on Paul Oakenfold's album "Perfecto Las Vegas," a DJ mix album released on Perfecto in 2009.

MUSIC STYLE:
The musical style produced and performed by Elucidate is a sub genre of electronic dance music (EDM), known as trance music. Although many people associate trance with non-vocal instrumental songs[9], Elucidate songs and mixes typically contain chilling vocals[10]. The style of music created by Elucidate is normally made using synthesizers, virtual studio technology instruments, and digital audio workstations. Elucidate songs include synth pads, lush strings, and driving beats[11][12], typifying the typical production sound found in modern trance music[9].

HISTORY:
In 2005 Elucidate released their Lucid Dream Red Mix on Digitally Imported Radio which was the first of a large series of mixes known as the Lucid Dream Mix series[3]. In 2006 Elucidate started their radio show, Deep In Vocal Euphoria (DIVE Radio)[4], which also premiered on Digitally Imported, and was later syndicated on several other radio stations. As popularity of the Lucid Dream Mixes and DIVE radio shows grew, Elucidate began remixing for several trance labels and in 2007 released their first remixes[5].

Near the end of 2007, Elucidate produced a bootleg remix of the trance classic "Skydive". Their remix of "Skydive" achieved major support from many of the world's biggest DJ's including Ferry Corsten[6], and propelled them into the forefront of the mainstream trance scene. After releasing their "Skydive" remix, Elucidate put out over 20 productions in 2008 and 2009 including originals and remixes[1] on several major trance record labels including Bonzai[7], Alter Ego[1], Neuroscience[8], and Perfecto[1]. To date, Elucidate tracks have been featured on radio stations world-wide, featured on compilation albums, played by the biggest artists in the world, and can be found in virtually every major CD retail store or digital download portal, solidifying their meteoric rise in the trance genre as a legitimate success with a promising future ahead of them. 


Billy Lane is the founder of 916 Junglist, a Sacramento underground art and music movement that has been going strong since 1998. He has also performed all over the US including major festivals like the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Nocturnal Wonderland and the Winter Music Conference (WMC).

Now with the use of a computer and an E-mu sampler along with an ever-changing combination of analogue gear and production techniques, this West Coast producer has led by example, constantly exploring new ways of injecting emotion and attitude into his art. 

The grimy uncompromising style that Gridlok has developed forms the foundation for his glittering career, gaining him the attention of his peers with household names such as Shy FX, Pendulum, and Dom and Roland lining up to work with the American producer. Acknowledged by artists in and out of Drum and Bass, Gridlok has put his spin on other genres, remixing for the likes of electronica giant Josh Wink and house legend Sasha. Gridlok’s original music and remixes have also branched into other media, with his work appearing in titles such as Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution and MTV’s Challenge series. Covering a wide spectrum within Drum and Bass, Gridlok’s versatile production has allowed him to release on a diverse range of labels, spanning from Ram Records and Playaz to Commercial Suicide and Moving Shadow, whilst maintaining his signature sound....
