"After receiving @magarimusic and @ilijarudman’s tracks within a short time of each other it felt like a perfect fit to pair them together. Both productions give a nod to the 80s House sound whilst expertly bringing the aesthetic up to date.

Magari has provided us with an eyes closed dub’d out groover and Rudman supplies a winding and weaving synthesised journey, giving a sonic glimpse in to his fully stocked studio.

It’s always been top of our list to work with the inimitable Mark Seven (@parkwayrecs). His music is a staple of our sets and as many of you know, is somewhat of guiding light of our scene. Any fan of Parkway Records knows it’s always an exciting day when they announce something new, needless to say we are proud to present a Parkway Powermix on M.A.D.

As you might know I've started learning to play with vinyl a few months ago. Now I'm stoked to share my first vinyl only set with you. 🥰

This one's full of classic House from the 90s - lots of soul, lots of pianos, and lots of groove!

Did I play some wonky transitions? - Yes. 
Did I lose my record brush and spend a lot of time looking for it? - Yes.
Did I knock over a bunch of records in my case and cause the needle to skip? - Also yes.

But imperfections make art human and I had fun recording the set, so I figured I'd try to be less of a perfectionist and still share the video with you. ☺️

Scruniversal's sub label Tunes Delivery invites Moscow scene veteran Leonid Lipelis to don his Beard In Dust moniker for their third instalment, one which dips into various different eras of dance history for inspiration. There's a distinctly late 80s feel to opening tune 'Music of the U', complete with sampled bell stabs and the kind of beats that wouldn't be out of place on an S'Express or early Coldcut house affair. 'The Armenian Break' and 'City of Love' look back even further, back to the female-fronted disco efforts of the 70s, the latter adding a touch of Balearic flourishes. 'Abstractish P' circles around some serene arpeggios, with rave whistles and, as it progresses, twisting guitar notes, lending it an individual air, while closer 'RoRyaRe' nods to ExCel-era 808 State with some nice bleepery before settling into more progressive headnodding territory and some distinctive synth play.

As an artist, founding member and A&R of theBasement Discos and its sublabels, Sam Paradise began leaving a mark on the House scene in 2019.

Sam produces and plays a wide range of groovy music: From soulful and jazzy House through peaktime Disco and Garage, with a focus on rare 90s gems, funky basslines, catchy (rap) vocals, and huge piano riffs.

His tracks on Demuja's Muja Records and Oath label are part of compilations with legends such as Rick Wade, Boo Williams, and Shinichiro Yokota and have been played by artists like Cinthie, Dam Swindle, Demuja, and Herr Krank.

As A&R and label manager of theBasement Discos, Sam has worked with artists like Todd Edwards, Kid Simius, Coeo, Herr Krank, Lemtom, DJibouti, and Never Dull.
