I dedicate this song to many loved ones, but first to my friend and former guitar teacher Somar Muhammad and to my friend Ghaith Mostafa (may his soul rest in peace).
De3a is an instrumental and experimental Syrian metal melody that started to grow in 2016. I began to play a simple oriental melody trying to bend the string so I can achieve the quarter-tone on my acoustic guitar at the time. Then my friend Rami Kojar who is a well oud player helped me to build the song, me playing chords on acoustic and him playing the oriental melody on the oud. We played it a couple of times at gigs in Stockholm, but according to some circumstances we went part ways but the melody is still stuck in my head. 
Last year however I decided to rearrange the music piece in a metal style using distortion sound for the guitars, low tuning, and heavy riffs, combining the Arabic and western rhythms together plus applying the quarter tone on my baritone guitar. It was a unique experience and hard at the same time and I spent literally tens of hours producing the song, listening to it, and working on it for days. 
I want to thank specially my friend Rayan who he was following the progress of the song and sending me feedbacks. Also I want to thank my sister Maysoun and my Cousin Ibrahim for being supportive during recording and producing the song as well as my friend Ali Sido in Stockholm, not to forget my family. The name De3a is inspired by my homeland and it represents the country land the origins that we all come from at some point. 
De3a was recorded in November 2020 but I didn’t have the desire or the courage to release it, maybe because the song is the result of many years of playing music and adding experience and I’m hesitating that it will not get the admiration that it deserves. However, I sent it to my cousin in Spain, Razan, to know what she thinks about it, and our little chat on FB made me have the courage to finally let the song see the light. 
De3a has no specific music style more than it’s an experimental and instrumental oriental song that has many accumulations in music experience starting with choosing the guitar and tuning, the sounds and the rhythms, the solo and the mixing process.
I hope you like it and I would receive good feedback because honestly, I’m not playing music that much and having a hard time whether to decide to leave playing and writing music. Once again I’m very happy with your feedback and support.
