It has been a while! SAMA is back on his label Maximalist_Minimalist after 1,5 years of silence. This time it's 3 hard-hitting and functional tracks, all heavily played and road-tested by a small handful of artists over the course of the last year. 

Finishing off the EP, 'I Might've Misunderstood' is the least menacing of the three is a powerful track with tight drums, SAMA-esque bass growls and a thin metallic lead tip-toeing throughout. This track was also the track made for SAMA's Masterclass on SINEE.

The artwork, just like all previous artworks, was painted by Argentinian painter Ric Santesteban.

Welcome to the Jungle. ANIMA Records follows up its debut release with JUNGLE [002].  As part of our mission to connect the world with a global techno sound - We are releasing one of the first ‘Concept’ Techno LP’s.  Paired with equally psychedelic artwork, the ‘JUNGLE’ release is inspired by organic sounds, lush world rhythms, and a focus on producers based in warmer climates. We feature music from Brazil, Uruguay, Malta, Australia and much more - as we take the focus away from club environments, to the places where the sun can shine, a clave pattern pushes the beat forward, and the heat is welcome.  ‘JUNGLE’ is our next step in offering the future of dance music something fresh and different.

Lindsey Herbert and Jason Doll co-founded EvilGroove, an American techno label that has included artists such as Truncate, Kr!z, Hemka, and Dustin Zahn while additionally promoting bubbling underground potential.

Unreturned, previously known as Quest, is a live production project from Vancouver, Canada, that combines lights, graphics, and music, with previous outings on imprints such as North of Nowhere, From 0-1, and Eternal Drive.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Peralayzed" with a grooving, spacey aesthetic. The hypnotic and raw track has a mesmerising bottom end lit up with sparkling tones and metallic hits, while its spooky, tooting sounds add a jovial element into the overall twisted tension of this gem.

Sciahri and Sublunar are proud to present Kameliia’s first solo EP on the label, Dont Be Naive. After debuting on Sublunar with the various artists release Veil of Echoes I, she now returns with a record that fully embodies her artistic identity. With a distinct sound shaped by releases on SK11, Token, and Unterwegs Records, Kameliia continues to carve her own path.

The journey begins with "MM6", a hypnotic and forceful track driven by sweeping strings that expand and contract like a living entity. "Aspects" follows, a piece of refined minimalism where every element feels meticulously placed.

On the B-side, the title track "Dont Be Naive" sets a relentless pace, steadily building tension with masterful restraint. "Eventide" introduces eerie, spellbinding vocals that weave through the track like an incantation. Closing the EP, "Keepers of the Secret" slows the tempo, its haunting female vocal etching itself into the subconscious.

The digital-only track, "Chapter X", brings a fluid, rolling groove, a perfect embodiment of Kameliia’s sonic identity.

SAMA is a DJ and producer from Utrecht, The Netherlands. 

SAMA's productions and sets have a signature dark, driving groove, where storytelling always takes centre-stage. Music riddled with small intricacies, a heavy focus on sounddesign and an infinitely perfectionist mindset; a Maximalist approach to a Minimalist sound, if you will.
