Honored to welcome recent LA arrival John Jones to the series for Volume 47. He records music solo as Nerftoss / AV Moves / Calvin, and is involved in a collaborative project called Geo Rip. This mix served as an exercise for him to find a meeting point between sounds that initially sparked his interest in the genre of electronic music in the early 2000’s, and the stuff him, his friends, and contemporaries are making now. A sentiment to a past self through moods and melodic elements.

So happy to welcome Joseph Kamaru (aka KMRU)to the series. Based in Nairobi, Joseph has been releasing music and participating in the local scene there for the past few years, and is a regular performer at Nyegenyege festival. His music emits a deep and dynamic emotionality but is equally as focused on the sound design of its environment. This mix he's made reflects many moods but each one is meditated on just enough before fluidly moving to the next.
