95 Open Tabs presents Still Tabs, a series of mixes dedicated to the softer, more ethereal side of sound. Curated within the ambient spectrum, each session is designed to quiet the noise, soothe the mind, and guide the listener into a state of calm reflection.

In a world that moves too fast, Still Tabs offers a pause, a moment to breathe, to feel, and to simply be. Gentle textures, slow-moving harmonies, and spacious soundscapes create a sonic space where healing and stillness can unfold naturally.

For this first edition, we are honored to share a mix by DJ Iodosan, a work that feels both pure and deeply personal. It’s a selection that drifts beyond the boundaries of traditional ambient, tracing its own path through moments of stillness, warmth, and quiet intensity. Some purists might argue it cannot be strictly labeled as ambient, but to us, ambient is not a genre locked in definition; it is a feeling. It is anything that slows the pulse, calms the body, and frees the mind from its loops.

Iodosan’s mix captures that essence effortlessly. Each track feels chosen not just for its sound, but for the way it shapes the air around you, like light through a window at dawn, or the hush of rain in the distance. A meditative yet primal dubstep record that's deeply organic and textural in its soundscape ~ a signature style of Tokyo duo Herbalistek. 

Making some of the most future-facing bass music right now, Herbalistek lands on Rennes label Ethos Records with an EP that attempts to channel "the unseen force that guides movement which is the instinctual pull toward something greater." Each track embodies a different form of movement, echoing organic patterns in nature and the fluid progression of life.

It governs how plants stretch toward light, how bodies sway to rhythm, and how thoughts drift in response to invisible stimuli. This EP attempts to capture those motions, translating them into sound: gradual shifts, unconscious reactions, and the tension between control and inevitability.
