Break Thou the Bread of Life

Life out of death--death Master, is it spoken

Lord, teach us to discern the Spirit

The holiest of God's temple is

Break Thou the Bread of Life

I come before Thy throne of grace

Thy dwelling place, O Lord, I love

I dare not be defeated

Must I go, and empty-handed

Myst’ry hid from ages now revealed to me
