We welcome our special guests Bassline Remedy.. who are a weighty club night in Bristol that celebrate the sounds of UK Underground with special focus on Rave culture both new and old.  They celebrate their 1st Birthday with an event on 17th September @ Cosies (Bristol) which also includes myself and fellow Tun Up selector A:Sine on the lineup - come and get involved.

We are excited to bring you a bonus second mix this month from none other than Boko! Boko! collective’s Mina. 

Ahead of her upcoming set at the sold-out Halloween Carnival of the Dead, Mina delivers an eclectic 45 minutes of UK Funky, transatlantic dance, kwaito, kuduro, afrobeat, dancehall, and club-ready edits. Including a strong selection of her own material showcasing the sounds of her releases on More Time and Enchufada. 

Catch Mina holding down the tunnel alongside fellow Boko! Boko! member Tash LC, plus Sinjin Hawke, Zora Jones and the Super Kitchen family on the 27th October. Advance tickets for this show are sold out, but there will be a small handful available on the door so get down early if you missed out and you might just get lucky!

Was a pleasure for Samedia to host the after party for IberoDocs screening of 'Lisbon Beat', and to jam with the film maker her self - Rita Maia, a schooling on the Batida scene for sure! Inspired by this fantastic documentary Zu Zu Mamou has been exploring Lisbon's vast musical landscape to bring you this mix. With roots in Angolan 'afrohouse' 'kuduro''semba' and Cape Verdean 'funana', fused with European techno and electronica, Lisbon's Batida sound is a genre defying blend of past and future rhythms. Turn up the volume and enjoy!
