Last year was brimming with serious label highlights, but if we were forced to pick one, we might go with THE FIELD's much-celebrated CUPID'S HEAD (KOMPAKT 290), a crowning achievement for a producer whose track record already boasts an impressive quantity of masterly crafted full-lengths. With CUPID'S HEAD REMIXE I, we start a limited 12" remix series gauging the reach of THE FIELD's unique brand of looped bliss: the first applicants include leftfield luminaries VATICAN SHADOW, BARKER & BAUMECKER and SONNS - a diverse, yet tremendously becoming selection of fellow artists from all corners of the electronic universe.
The closing track of the record is engineered by SONNS, the solo project of Split Secs' Alexandre Mouracade - it's the floor-ready secret weapon in the package and a deliberately thumping take on THE FIELD's meandering loopscapes. As such, it rightfully occupies the entirety of the flipside and tops off an impressive collection of absorbing remixes for CUPID'S HEAD.

Astral projection (or astral travel) is an interpretation of an out-of-body experience (OBE) that assumes the existence of an "astral body" separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it. Astral projection or travel denotes the astral body leaving the physical body to travel in an astral plane. The idea of astral travel is rooted in common worldwide religious accounts of the afterlife in which the consciousness' or soul's journey or "ascent" is described in such terms as "an... out-of body experience, wherein the spiritual traveller leaves the physical body and travels in his/her subtle body (or dreambody or astral body) into ‘higher’ realms. New Sleep Induction and Lucid Dreaming Binaural Beats with 741hz!

This session is specially designed unwinding and releasing for sleep. It begins at Beta (active thinking) and slowly winds all the way down to Low Theta over the course of the first 20 minutes. Throughout the video there are waves, starting with a nature stream, then when you hear the gong the 741hz begins, after a minute or so going back to the stream.

741hz is an ancient Solfeggio sound that associates with the intuition and the Throat Chakra, so right-brained creative for dreaming. When you hear the gong, allow your thoughts to fade, and sink into your creative side. Meanwhile the Binaural Beats will be working to slow down your brainwaves. The Throat Chakra is the most important for dreaming and soul journeying, by stimulating it the chances of had vivid or lucid dreams is significantly increased.

1. Lay down in a comfortable position with your headphones on and play the session

3. Breath all the way down into your lower belly, and relax - letting go of the day's stress. Keep breathing into your belly, if you loose concentration, just bring your attention back to the breath

'Little' is a track that I made a long time ago when I was still writing 'In Distance We're Losing', I got stuck on the track thinking that I wanted to make it a long piece and eventually pushed it to the side. I came back to it a few months ago and realized I liked it the way that it was, and that's when I got Raphael Weinroth-Browne to record the cello, and myself to record the acoustic guitar to the end of the track to finish it off.

Untitled #2 was the first track that I made for this A/B series. I recorded and composed it in a single day after have major writers block when I finished 'In Distance We're Losing'.
