This limited Psychedelic Meltdown cassette release is linked to an event series of the same name curated by The Slow Brown Fox, taking place at Sameheads in Berlin. As stated by its name, the series aims to mind-bend the audience through trippy and unexpected music, freely flowing between electronica and sounds from the beyond.

This first showcase presents a double mixtape released via Sameheads being the manifestation of the magic experienced on the inaugural night of January 6, 2024 featuring Loma Doom, Akvilina, Lizzie Urquhart and The Slow Brown Fox.

Amelia says.
"I love hip hop. I have been digging a lot of it because I like the beats and it’s fun to blend with trip hop and downtempo tracks. I also work for a record collectors, who has an incredible hip hop collection and we spend a lot of time listening to all these records. Beyond the beats, rhythm & lyrics, hip hop has an important piece in the history of music and the city I live in. I am grateful it exists.

This mix was recorded in Texas, in my bed room early January during the holiday season."

In our 85th edition of Trushmix we welcome back Kokk N Roll. This time with an over two hour session of inspiration. The selector hits us hard this time with a well 
selected and curated mix of rare songs, grooves and rhythms from the African continent, with a heavy focus on the western part. All original records, therefor also the sometimes ruff sound, but with the additional charm and character it is with old well used records. 

It's a musical journey through countries such as Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Nigeria, Ghana, Congo and Benin. And we will explore the musically diversity the collector has to offer us from these countries. Get ready for some Mbalax, Afro Mandingue, Afro Cuban, Afro Rock and some Psych. Plus a heavy dose of some spiritual vibes.

Dimitri Veimar was born in Germany, and after moving to Moscow, started to study and produce music in early 1999. Later on in 2010 he started to DJ & perform.

High praise indeed from an artist who knows all about making an impact. It was Dimitri's remix of Avery's 'Water Jump' that announced his talent to the world. Produced without the original parts, Veimar constructed a rework that immediately won the heart of its original creator. 
Mix:
I was really enjoying making the / sunday morning / because finally i had a chance to mix up all kind of music that i can't play on the dancefloor. Since my childhood i've been listening to a lot of breakbeat and downtempo and also i mad about US classical and hippie singers especially about all the music comes from the 60 's.  That's why the mix has the few gems from those times as a reminder of a golden days.

JAZ is also John Zahl, aka. the Episcopalian Minister from South Carolina who does not only find transcendence in religion but likewise in music. While the fact that he plays the most oddball of Italo, Synth-Pop and New Wave tracks might seem surprising, the coupling of music and religion is not at all unusual of course (both transcending the boundaries of our natural world). After incredibly contributions to Sanpo Disco and Dream Chimney amongst others, he has agreed to share his energy once again.

For 5918mins. JAZ compiles a vast amount of music from the USA, Sweden, UK, France, Germany, Japan, Austria, Italy, Uraguay, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Greece, South Africa, Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Canada (over 45 tracks) which he has been amending for a while but could not record due to a move. (Hence the hibernation) 

A rich and incredible mix of things which we are more than honored to be able to present, representing the sheer endless energy this man has put into finding music.
