Originally from Bethalto, Illinois, Mark Ryan made his acting debut towards the end of his high school career. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 2013 with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre (Summa Cum Laude). Having recently made the big move, he now calls New York City his home.

Mark Ryan's interests have taken him to some diverse places. From dancing in 10,000 ft. high Colorado air to singing in the Notre Dame Cathedral, he continues to seek new challenges and adventures onstage and off. In 2009, Mark Ryan became the Associate Artistic Director of 'Arts4equality' - a theatre company devoted to the celebration of human rights and the redress of bigotry and hatred.

One of Mark Ryan's greatest pleasures is the training of his physical instrument. As a stage combatant, he is a recognized Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors - a title belonging to less than two hundred artists in the world. Offstage, he is a practitioner of Aikido, and can be found weight training wherever iron and chalk can be found.
