Originally born in NZ and now residing in Sydney Australia, Pistolshrimp is a DJ, producer and co-founder of ‘Circuit Events’. With an upbringing that had his ears flooded with jazz, funk and house music by osmosis the Shrimp has naturally always elected to bounce between the sub genres of house when playing and producing. 

Previous releases on ‘Sheeva Records’ of Miami and ‘Bit Records’ of Mexico birthed the production journey which has been a continual path of persistence over the last 8 years. A crustacean that shoots a ball of air which is the heat of the sun termed its acoustic weapon seemed to fit perfectly when there was a sudden urgency to find a DJ name ahead of a 21st birthday party gig.  Now nearly a decade on the Shrimp is carving grooves in a style of ‘rolling house’ whether it be behind the decks or in the studio. The Shrimp’s focus is to create an energy that lifts people up and makes them present to the point that they are free of all else that is going on outside that space. Support duties have seen him on line ups with the likes of artists like TJR, Audiojack, Hardwell, ANDHIM, Adana Twins and Robosonic to name a few. Residencies have been earned in both Sydney and London at bars like 'The 64th and Social' (London), The Argyle, Manly Wharf Bar, Pepes Beach Club and Sweethearts Rooftop in Sydney. Pistolshrimp also often ventures back to NZ for various gigs and festivals including playing at the prestigious Highlife Entertainment events also with live guest mixes on the 'Off the Wall Radio Show' on Radio Ponsonby. A regular on Bondi Radio with a previous segment of his own ‘Shrimp Sunday’s’ Pistolshrimp is currently working at a new radio project linked into the ‘Circuit’ movement. 

His latest passion has been the investment of efforts into ‘Circuit’ which brings boutique house music events to unique locations in Sydney with a major focus on an attention to detail and quality. Balancing his 9-5 job as a health professional music has always been his other side of life, a form of beautiful diversity which acts like medicine for the soul. Music has been his glue, passion and healthy escape which has led him to make incredible friends who share that same energy all over the globe. Music is the answer…

SammyB has been a professional DJ and producer since the early 2000s. His passion for music runs deep, and in early 2009 started a duo called Slice N Dice. His idea was to be masked, not telling anyone who we were, going to clubs and playing music which made us happy. Not long after a year, we were djing all around Australia and had numerous tours overseas. SammyB has been on labels such as Phethouse (AUS), Rockforce Records (UK), Surfer Rosa Records (UK), DOS OR DIE Records (Germany) and Shabang Records (AUS). After a recent break, SammyB is making a hit back into the scene showcasing all his newest tunes and creations. He quit Slice N Dice back in 2012 but his passions still runs strong.
