Last year Obey City released his debut for LuckyMe Records on vinyl and digital: 'Champagne Sounds'. A primer for the palette Sam Obey draws upon: Club, House, AOR, Gospel, R&B and Techno. With euphoric moments and drum freak outs it was no surprise 'Champagne Sounds' clocked support from Rustie, Brodinski & Jackson and His Computer Band.   

In 2014 we are proud to present 'Merlot' - an altogether richer record. Where so many producers elude that their vocal edits are the first step in a career as a song-writer proper; with Merlot Sounds Sam Obey has cut out years of studio time and mic'd up a generation of vocalists he exists in the orbit of: Anthony Flammia, 1-OAK, Oliver DaySoul, Kelela  & The Flatbush Zombies. 

As we move to finish mixdowns, master and release Merlot Sound - we're proud to present this 'Merlot VIP' of last year's 'Fallin'. Now recorded with vintage equipment and outboard sat right beside modern digital drums it takes just those elements you want from it's influences without loosing its contemporary purpose.

As we bid farewell to the final days of summer, we're thrilled to present Joe Morris's "Solar Fantasy EP." Written during the darkest days of the Covid-19 Pandemic the tracks are deliberately imbued with a warmth and light. Richly textured melodies and a vibrant sonic palette that dance around each other to create an immersive dance floor experience full of freedom and emotion.

Teen Daze flips the energy of the original to a languid pace for a more poolside atmosphere. Cool electric keys and sparkling chords add a dreamy, hazy quality to the music. Embracing the dream house aesthetic of the original, the Desert Island Disco version offers up a breezy house vibe that moves with an energetic pace, introducing cool piano hooks and breathy vocals. Pleasure Voyage take a nostalgic turn, transporting us back to the heady days of Rimini with a fun italo-house rework packed with irresistible grooves.

The Solar Fantasy EP is a carefully crafted collection of tracks that aim to evoke feelings of warmth, freedom, and positivity, making it a fitting soundtrack for the end of summer.

Teen Daze returns for his final EP of 2023: Quiet City, three tracks of soft house music which serve as a reflection on a busy and productive year.

We begin with the title track, Quiet City, and immediately conjure up images of late night drives through anonymous city streets. Brimming with emotion, and a gentle energy, this one could find itself at home in a warmup set, early in the night, or one of those aforementioned late night drives. No matter where you hear it, this is one of Teen Daze’s most beautiful tunes.

Life Style brings us out of the car, and onto the sidewalks of that once quiet city. Now there’s a bustling energy from crowds of people, steam rising from the sewers below. You’re navigating it all in stride, with Life Style in your headphones. This is City Music.

Finally, Teen Daze wraps up 2023 with an ode to Vancouver, BC, aka The Glass City, Night Club. The soft, swung drums, the walking bassline, the dubbed out bongos; this one feels at home across the entire Lower Mainland. Maybe you’re taking a stroll along the Sea Wall, maybe you’re watching the sun set while sipping on something at Juice Bar, maybe you’re walking up to Paradise at 12 am. No matter how you might experience Vancouver, Night Club has got your soundtrack covered.

The 3rd installment of Razor-N-Tape’s Family Affair series is home for the holidays! Now an annual end-of-year tradition, this year’s FA is a digital comp that sprawls across 13 tracks, representing artists from various corners of the globe and a wide range of musical styles.

Alma Vox is an eccentric Parisian combo, they gave us this little 7-inch without much explanation, and we were instantly drawn by its hazy poetical pop appeal.
The A side covers the famous French 80's song ‘Toi mon toit', by Elli Medeiros, adding a sensual neurasthenic disco twist, yet danceable and fun. 
'Theme II' on the B-side, has a mid-tempo reggae/funk mood combined with some ecstatic emotional chords. Perfect for a cliché-free Mediterranean sunset, this tune has already worked wonders on various discerning dance floors.
Both tracks have been mixed by I:Cube, who added his unique sound to great effect.
