Fresh off a trip to the watercooler, London’s Clive From Accounts is circling back with his most expansive offering to date, the full length LP “The Very Best Of Clive From Accounts.” Action items include lead-off single “Save Me” with its driving organ stabs, soulful vocals, exuberant steel pans and just a touch of acid, as well as second single “Heavier” which lives up to its name as a dark and weighty club number that boasts some heavy toasting from Riko Dann. But you’ll also want to go ahead and put a pin in “Konsumu Suru” for a more melancholic tone with Japanese vocals by Maya Kuroki & violin by Jessica Roch, the mideastern tinged “It Began,” and classic drum & bass vibes of “Spectrum” amongst others!

We’ve run the numbers and offered this record in an expanded 10 track digital version and 7 track vinyl 12” sampler, that includes a special intra-office easter egg! A true win-win, this varied EP really fleshes out the depth and breadth of Clive’s wheelhouse, and is a deep dive into modern UK club sounds.

Four floaty dubs & re-rubs from San Francisco's Ryan Bishop aka The Beat Broker (Bear Funk, Flexx, Adult Contemporary, etc).  Many heads probably best know Ryan as the brains behind DREAM CHIMNEY, one of the longest-running and most consistently interesting online hangouts for like-minded music freaks.

This 12" busts loose with "Satin Kimono," a funky floor-filler with the most perfect AOR song title in existence. "Make It Happen" cools the A-side down with a mellow yet uplifting soft rock groover; dubby voices beckon the listener to break free and never look back.

"Honey It's You" is a pumped up edit of an old 'Chimney classic and was crafted specifically as a wedding gift for fellow Dream Chimney member Hatchback - now available for the first time in a physical format!  "Larceny Dub" soars to new heights of AOR bliss, featuring an extensive re-working of a record that was passed along to Ryan by an ex-Deadhead neighbor.

Despite us being in the depths of summer, the weather is rubbish. Hooray then, for a sunny new Midnight Riot release. Here Jack Tennis, cough, serves up a re-work of a particularly sunny Italo disco jam, "Money". He aces it too with shimmering 80s tropical synth melodies, claps galore and the genre's always endearing slightly dodgy vocals. Elsewhere the vibes are more 'authentic' with "La Funk" being a monster of thumping, rubber-bass boogie and sexy female vocals, and "Easin" being a slo-mo bloc rocker from back in the day.
