I was sick with covid when making this mix so I felt like making something spacey (like my headspace was at the time). longer transitions, lots of blending, which gave me time to play with effects and create loops of ambient breaks to play over drops to create a floaty atmosphere... until the end where it takes a turn and gets a bit darker and chaotic. I had the honour of opening for Delta Heavy in Brisbane last night (30.4.23). I wanted to play a set of deep dnb - highlighting both the beautiful and ugly sides of the genre, whilst at the same time gradually increasing the energy and getting the dance floor ready for the main support acts.
