Originally written and produced for my final exams in music production 2 years ago, Showdown is a relaxed downtempo jazz track that takes you on a ride into a lovely summer day. As the mode is mellow and relaxed, trumpets and guitars gently play and tell the tale off driving into the sunset. As you unwind and feel a breeze of happiness, you know it's going to be a lovely day.

We wanted to bring the Minipops into the future, so we pumped it through a variation of truly unhinged pitching, delays, and modulation effects on our H3000 and printed it to tape, re-pitching the results for deeper kicks, slo-mo beats and frantic grooves.

The attempt to stretch the concept of irama by exploring the liminality between pulse and noise is at the heart of this piece. This idea, coming from Central Javanese gamelan, organizes the temporal density within a piece; starting from irama lancar with one saron panerus beats per balungan notes, to irama rangkep with sixteen saron panerus beats per balungan notes. Hyperkembangan is based on a central question: what would the sound of an extremely high level of irama be, where the balungan notes is imperceivably sparse, while the elaboration is extremely dense? This hypothetical situation leads me to conceptualize a piece based on a progression from pulse, to complex sound (represented by spectral harmonies), to noise—noise here functions as a representation of an overload in the elaborative part. The piece is played with two gendèrs with pair tuning consists of customized 14-notes system that could accommodate spectral harmonies (based on the spectra of note 1 in gendèr struck with hard mallet) and its various manipulations. The "X" in the title—as well as a reference to Boulez's "Polyphonie X"—suggests a kind of cultural defacing, where new content is imposed on the cultural memory of the music, yet still maintains parts of those memories; a form of a musical palimpsest.

Musician and producer Gvantsa Uma Japaridze with her electronic live project - “Experimental Uma”. She is originally from Tbilisi, Georgia and currently studying at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. “This is not nightmare, it’s reality” is a completely original piece composed of personal recordings and electronic instruments. The project Experimental Uma mainly includes Dark Ambient, IDM, D’n’B, sounds, however as a jazz performer, her Live sets are almost entirely improvised.

My name is Yuri, I represent the project @monotonne_band and the track WL, which was made specially for the compilation, it is called ZSU by Mystictrax label. 
In my track I wanted to reflect my feeling on the conditions in which many of Ukrainians got into, who do not feel well, live in nervous tension, make difficult decisions since the beginning of large-scale war. 
The siren, which periodically sounds in my track, became a catalyst for significant changes. Even for those who perceive it as an ordinary everyday situation. When we do not have rockets, we often ignore the signals. We drink coffee, take walks with our pets, go to the stores under the accompaniment of sirens. But it is also a traumatic trigger for many people whose lives have been tragically changed. 
When i worked on this track, I wanted to focus on providing a no fly-zone over Ukraine, as to prevent it from russian air-strikes.
