The MR10 is an unassuming powerhouse of a rhythm machine. Sounding something like a more tune-able 808 crossed with a CR-78, it feels like an overlooking missing link in the canon of analog drum machines. Familiar yet still in a class of its own, and almost totally untapped by producers.

L’Renee and Kenny Watson both bring their unique voices to Jon’s masterful production, and Jimpster also lends a hand with an incredible remix. Laurent Maldo / Moody Preachers

Originaire de Toulouse, Laurent Maldo débute le Djing en 1988, et sort son premier remix en 2000,
 sur le label de Laurent Garnier et Eric Morand « F Communications ».
Au milieu des années 2000, le succès du duo Moody Preachers qu'il forme avec le Dj italien Luca Baldini, sur la label suisse Adrenogroov lui permet de jouer des sets acclamés un peu partout en Europe,
 aux côtés de nombreux artistes internationaux.

Il s’associe en 2014 au producteur bordelais, Jules Wells pour une collaboration explosive sur le légendaire label KMS de Kevin Saunderson.
Fort du soutien de poids lourds comme Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier ou Monika Kruse, et de sorties sur des labels comme Planet E, Restructured, Metrohm, Astropolis, Bakroom, Groove factory, le projet commun de Laurent & Jules tient une place de choix dans le cœur des amateurs de techno soulful.

Ces dernières années, Laurent a ralenti le rythme pour se concentrer sur des projets personnels, mais n'a jamais perdu le contact avec la musique. Après divers morceaux et remixes sur des labels comme Canal Auditif et Groove Factory, il revient en 2020 sur le fleuron français de la house music Brique Rouge, emmené par l’inoxydable David Duriez.
