Born from eponymous LYL’s radioshow, Feng Shit Records becomes Décalé’s sublabel for new imprints and scattered directions: a balanced perception between softening aural breeze and spiritual dance substrate.

Castalia Drops delivers a futuristic testament to club / no-club music, rooted in melancholy, and inspired by the fountain of Castalia, whose waters promise poetic creation to all those who drink from it or listen to its murmur. 14 tracks from forewarned visionaries (Epsilove and Christian Coiffure); the freshly illuminated (OKO DJ, Dhakira, Explorations Silencieuses); an ode to aural breezes (Eiger Drums Propaganda, Aloe, AM Khamsaa); psychedelics rituals (Gavr, One Foot Step & Nitrate); and spiritual dance substrates (Tai Rona, 808Hz, Yolek, Antoine).

The 4-sided insert contains inspirational texts and poems provided by some of the artists in their languages of preference like Romanche and Hungarian, among others.

We sampled an Oberheim synth a few years ago, and Nico made a beautiful demo for it, using the samples. In fact, I loved it so much that I wanted to create an original piece of music for it - so I ran bits and pieces of the demo out into an Echoplex, and an Otari reel to reel, and then sent the returns of those tracks back into the tape machines, creating feedback loops. I then took those feedback loops and put them back through the tape machines!

Sanel’s Loco Sharky EP is full of slippy and neatly tunes. Its title track, „Loco Sharky“, has something of a joyful club anthem without any kitschy component to it. A strong club feeling with a hip vocal and a catchy, groovy bass line. „Jumper“, the second original track on this EP, is darker and traps the listerner completely in a relaxed sound structure. „Jiggy It“ contributes an outstanding „rework “ with distinctive differences in bass line conduction and rhythm. Every variation is an addictive pearl for the listener to discover and unveil. Ultimately „Alvin Kyer“ offers his performance of „Jumper“ in his well appreciated manner. A clear and prominent rhythm line paired to hidden sounds and effects aswell as a boisterous bass conduction.

Hardwell’s 2012 has been on absolute fire up to now. With his single ‘Spaceman’  still going skyhigh and much buzzed about release ‘Kontiki’ (fi. Dannic) lined up for a big release April 16th.

Hardwell now had the honour to remix Rihanna’s upcoming new single ‘Where Have You Been’ taken from the album ‘Talk That Talk’. While touring the US Hardwell created this stunning remix on his on-the-road studio. Giving the original track that Hardwell signature with melodic synth influences and a killer electro bassline. After the second break creating a heavy snare drum climax and at the finale both the melodic synth and electro bassline fall into place perfectly creating a next level euphoric feeling. This remix will bring the masses together and cause absolute mayhem on the dance floors.
