You can really just sit back relax and take it all in with this one. astounding textures and atmosphere

The main synthline across the track is played interactively on Buchla Easel Command 208c. One thing about it - it is not a synth in normal/usual way expected from a machine making sound by moving electrons. It is rather an instrument trully. Here is my first track with this beaut synth, exploring Buchla-sweet analogue twangs and tones. Just like Auroras, you expect the colors, but they are always different somehow. 

All 5 mins played in one shot interactively, moving Buchla sliders placed in main panel in one row. Brilliant design to be able to see what's going on with wires and sliders position. Being able to move many sliders as you go just does not let you setup a preset and play it thru. You want to change things always, naturally. It is a synth technically, but feels more like playing a jaw harp or guitar. When you twang a string while playing. Here you have 22 sliders handy aligned for that. 

Lower and higher notes are the sound of two oscillators playing the same incoming midi pattern. While envelope, wave-folding timbers, opening gate and voltage controlled amp are tweaked interactively. Also sequencer(strangely 3-5 steps max, not 4 or 8), is not only for arping notes,instead for voltage control other oscillators and combo filter/amp. 

I still do love Moog and East-coast "traditional" subtractive concept, but now dig the West-coast concept as much. Its a privilege to own and play this 1974 designed, slightly improved with usb-midi for modern times analogue gear. I fell in love with Buchla tones/concept when played newly released Arturia VST few years back. (check one synthline track: https://soundcloud.com/samprock/patrol?in=samprock/sets/4-million-thank-you).  Same idea in this track - explore one synths sound. Real synth sound, plus few sounds made by VST in the middle section. Tried to limit other instruments: two Arturia MoogMini basslines, Pigments FX-ing, OB-xa pads, Kick2. 

Buchla (monosynth) line is split to left/right with one phrase apart for more stereo movement. Jun-6 Chorus, Live 11 Echo, FafFilter Pro-C2, Timeless 3, Pro-R in different amount/locations across the song. Mastered with UAD OxideTape, IK One, and FabFilters Pro-MB compressor and Pro-L2 final limiter.

One of a rare tracks from me without drum or bass .... or is it? Hang Drum on Push 2 with Soniccouture, hang or pan drum implementation as Ableton device.

✨ Can you hear the nebular sounds? ✨ Analogue grit and silk from Korg ARP2600m arping and Arturia Polybrute on the lead voice. 

Recorded ARP2600m live by tweaking 5-7 sliders, then placed 8-bar parts to L/R channels in Ableton for more spacial movement. Lead tune is played on Polybrute's keyboard. Designed two Polybrute A/B presets and manually tweaked with Morphee controller. While DAW is playing pre-automated glide and filter sweeps. Arturia Pigments for colored pads and OB-Xa for nebular glitter. Basslines are Arturia Mini and Moog UADx. FabFilter Saturn2 saturation, ProQ3/C/L2, Arturia Intensity/Eternity, and Moogerfooger MF-104S. As always the new and a dozen other tracks are downloadable on my accounts, thanks!

Special here ~ everything is played by fingers on the iPad surface. Native Instruments app, called iMaschine 2, is limited to 4 tracks with 4 patterns over the whole song. Same time it is truly inviting environment for the Beatmaking and doing More-With-Less.

I already played electric bass and Fender Strat, mixing it in. While wanted to post bare-naked iPad version as-is, before I overproduced it in Ableton Live or spooked the charm of "4-track" classic setup :)
