As a composer and performer, Ryan Molloy’s work has been performed to international audiences on four continents for over fifteen years, including major concert venues such as Lucerne Hall, KKL (Switzerland), Kölner Philharmonie (Germany), Holywell Music Room (England) and Waterfront Hall (N. Ireland). In great demand as an accompanist, he has recorded over a dozen albums and his repertoire spans numerous genres from traditional Irish music to contemporary classical music. Currently a lecturer in composition at Maynooth University, Ryan studied at the University of Oxford and latterly at Queen’s University Belfast where he completed his PhD ‘The Traditional Contemporary Dichotomy in Irish Art Music: A New Compositional Approach’ under the supervision of Dr Simon Mawhinney and Prof. Piers Hellawell.

Ryan’s compositional work has won numerous prizes and has been broadcast both nationally and internationally on BBC Radio 3 and Radio Ulster, RTÉ Lyric FM, Radio 1 and Ráidió na Gaeltachta as well as on BBC 2, UTV and BBC World. From 2012 to 2014, Ryan’s compositional work was supported by a BBC Performing Arts Fund Fellowship in association with Moving on Music. 
In early 2017, Ryan released a CD of his piano works entitled Innisfail, recorded by award-winning American pianist Alexander Bernstein. Other recently completed works include a violin concerto for Darragh Morgan and the Ulster Orchestra, and Gortnagarn II a commission from the Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble.

Past collaborations include diverse performers and ensembles such as the Danish String Quartet (DK), Concorde Ensemble (IE), EXAUDI Vocal Ensemble (UK), Ulster Orchestra (NI), Composers’ Ensemble (UK), Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble (NI), Konvergence Ensemble (CZ), Franziska Schroeder (AT/NI), Carla Rees (UK), Zoë Conway, New Dublin Voices, Elizabeth Hilliard & David Bremner, and Nick Roth (IE).

London Born Tad Sargent, whose family roots come from Castlebarr in county Mayo, started playing music at a young age on the piano.  He started playing the bodhrán (the Irish drum) in 2002 after re-discovering his childhood love for Irish music. Learning about Irish music took years of attending sessions run by Irish music legends such as Mick O’Connor.  He picked up the bouzouki in 2008 and favours the guitar shaped design.
Now a professional musician Tad has performed/recorded and worked with many great musicians and groups such as Barrule, Tony Christie, Luke Daniels, Sylvain Barou, Cara Dillon, Kristina Train, Celtic Crossroads, Joby Talbot, Ranagri, Crossharbour, Bible Code Sundays, and The Long Notes (to name a few).  He was a member of Ranagri for 5 years who released an album with pop legend Tony Christie (Amarillo fame) in 2015. He is currently working on his project with the amazing Breton uilleann piper Loïc Bléjean.   Their album was released in Autumn 2016. He a main member of CrossHarbour, who's album was released in 2014.
During the summer of 2016 he was part of The Shakespeare Globe Theatre's Season of Wonder. He was one of the four musicians on the production of The Taming of the Shrew (directed by Caroline Byrne). It received high praise from the critics.
Through these works and many others he has played all over Europe, USA, and at some of the great venues/festivals around the UK, some of those include The Royal Albert Hall, The National Theatre, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Trafalgar Square, Glastonbury Festival, Hop Farm Festival, and Cambridge Folk Festival.  He has appeared on numerous occasions on the BBC (both TV and Radio), and other broadcasting organisations in the UK and across Europe. 
His Bodhran and Bouzouki playing can be heard on many recordings and films including the 2010 film "Burke and Hare" (John Landis), Barulle's album "Mananans Cloak", Crossharbour album "CrossHarbour", Ranagri "Tradition", Tony Christie album "The Great Irish Song Book"
Tad also finds time to teach bodhran, bouzouki, guitar, and piano.  He is the resident bodhrán and Irish music accompaniment tutor at the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith.
