Groove Nation 07/08/22

This episode was a little different as we sadly on the 8th of August 2022 lost the legendary singer songwriter Lamont Dozier. He was part of the incredible Motown writing trio Holland-Dozier-Holland, they penned some big hits for The Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas & The Four Tops to name a few. He then went on to do a string of solo albums in the 70s & 80s. In 1977 he released the album Peddlin' Music On The Side, this featured Going Back To My Roots a track that became a nightclub/dancefloor favourite and is now considered a real classic. One of my favourites which I include in the show is the killer Boogie cut Shout About It from his 1981 Lamont album. So many great tracks, he will really be missed. I play a big selection of his solo work and 4 favourite Motown tracks he wrote as part of the trio. Thats all mixed with the usual goodness. tracks I hope this is a good and fitting tribute. Groove Nation Final Show 02/03/25

So its been a while since I've uploaded any music on here. I have a new original track with a vocalist I am currently working on and will be coming out soon hopefully on a very cool label. Check out my other social pages Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more info on that one. In the meantime here is a lovely new edit I have created of a classic Basement Jaxx track originally released on  there Rooty album back in 2001. I've put a Disco spin on this one, something nice and funky. You can expect lots of Disco vibes with my new tracks. Its a big change from what I was making before but Disco music is what I have loved since I was a kid and it has always been my favourite genre. I hope you like it.
