Tsuruda is an icon in the ever-evolving bass and beats scenes. Prolific and fearless, this classically trained, LA-based producer and DJ mashes experimental hip hop with avant garde electronics on releases for Daddy Kev’s Alpha Pup, Noisia’s Division and Mat Zo’s Mad Zoo imprints, while collaborating and touring with the likes of Mr Carmack and Amon Tobin. But more than any cosign, it’s Tsuruda’s bleeding edge sound design and neck-breaking funkiness that has inspired a legion of underground fans; it’s also earned him bragging rights as winner of the 2021 Goldie Awards, the beat competition (judged by A-Trak, Craze and Baauer) where these four Fool’s Gold tracks were born. VALE returns to its origins with the Autism Awareness fundraiser compilation Awareness Vol. II. This Bandcamp driven charity release was available in full on World Autism Awareness Day. All proceeds were donated to the charity, Music for Autism. The artists and label are honored to dedicate our time and effort to the community and improving the lives of others.

The off kilter monolith “Reload” pulsates and quakes, taking us back to our grimey halftime roots. Compressed atlantean bass grooves approach, becoming deeper and darker with each measure as this monstrous force envelopes and engulfs the dancefloor.  Sporadic vocal sprays and wildly disassembled stuttering synths harken back to classic halftime influences, reinvented here in a refreshingly nuanced headnod-banger.
