I recorded loud of Harazyuku while walking around Takeshita-street in Harazyuku .
Because I think this point is one of the craziest point in Japan .
I wanted to capture the unfocused desire which teenagers have .
I layered three same sound but different texture .
One is itself .
Two is itself modulated by modular synth .
Three is itself effected by effector .
( I recorded it to cassette MTR through Moog Lowpass filter , equalized on MTR , effected through delay and reverb .)
And I changed each tape speed a little , did panning .

Please help me to inspire Ade to reopen his line of Wesley Willis t-shirts. Mine wore out. I need a new one. Thanks Wesley so much for your pure and uninhibited authenticity. Thank goodness that you were around when you were and also thank goodness for the random people I sometimes meet who seem to embody a similar spirit to you. It was only last weekend I was lucky enough to meet an old lady, a 'cancerian' called Diana, who sang Doors songs with me at the market. Thank you, I understood and good luck. She understood the 'flake.' Back to this song, it's a true story and if I hadn't have made this, Ade's head might have exploded like when we was at Krakatoa in the famous picture. this kind of joke is warped innit. Will someone please design me a 'this kind of joke is warped t-shirt?' Ade, I'm looking at you but I know you're busy. I love my friend Ade and all my friends, it kills me so bad that life cut me off for so long and seems to be trying to perform a checkmate, but at least there is still the gag, the joke, even if it's warped. As long as there is even a trace of it, a remnant, that's enough to carry on. PS. I'm serious about trying to find the Canadian lady who wanted to buy a bulk order of Wesley Willis shirts for her shop. If this song ever found her, I would literally buy Ade the cable so he could access his old computer for the design, get a t-shirt press, and press them myself and this time take the details down correctly and ship em out. thank you. love greybagZ and the bugman. this is a song, a celebration of 'the gag', friendship, the flake and not giving a fuck.

Looking at the ground for real, we found that it was covered with tiny cracks. These cracks are so small, but even them are enough for subtle attention. 

Seeing through them, having an endlessly persistent intention to explore them to the very bottom, we transform into pure energy of contemplation. We flow through these cracks like water. 

Our soul is filtered layer by layer. Habits, preferences, attachments - are absorbed into withered grains of sand, greedy for moisture. All that remains is the intention to find out.
