It is a pleasure to introduce 'Katavai', the first album of Makunaimadamä.

The album is an expression of solitude, melancholia and darkness, deep feelings that have inspired the producer from a recent loss suffered.

'Katavai' invites the listener to an immersive experience through apocalyptic landscapes composed of oppressive atmospheres and tribal futuristic rhythm patterns.

A beautiful exposition of sorrowful darkness. 

Both the artist's name and titles are words taken from the indigenous Amazon-based Makunaima tribe.

'Katavai' will be released on September 11th on cassette (limited to 30 copies) and digital format.

We look to South America for Episode 22. Hailing from the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, we have User. Founder of Buraco, a label and mix series which has risen to prominence in 2020, User's mix focuses on deep analog beats, heavy noisy layers and industrial kicks surrounded by despotic vocals. His music approaches the political environment on Electronic Body Music which can be currently heard among many brilliant Latin American producers as well as throwing clear reference to 80s and 90s sounding inspirations.

The essence of living beings; it takes some time to grasp its marvel. 
You can find it in everything that exists and you can also find it in nothing.
Fundamental order of all the things, such as matter. A particle —-
essentially everything that existed, exists and will exist. Also the void, home of nothing.

Because to be, to evolve or to exist in unpolluted way; equipped with a DNA-narrative, from a pre-mutated space dust particle, the seed of all existence, the mega-source —- The Universe. Form and matter architect, total collector of energies, the reason for life and decay.

'Harmony in Chaos' in infinitum and always in tandem. The two mega-forces working on par. Without any hate but not in love. Their parasitic symbiosis is neither an ebb nor a flow. The existence of dust particles in space and time —- mutating, evolving.

It is of an utter importance to once again tune in and observe the nature which radiates from within us. From the very fabric of our close surroundings, and from afar, far beyond the abyss ~

Meshes is a sound producer and a dj from Moscow, Russia. His sound is a dark stylish rhythmic ebm-techno, expressivity of powerful industrial and aggressive energy of punk, which he has brought from his vocalist’s past. Now he also uses his voice a lot , shouting out phrases and words (mostly in russian), In addition to synthesizers and drum machines at his live performances. His last releases were on Up North Records, Crave Tapes and  Buraco. The next is going to be released on a compilation of Idlestates Recordings.
