We understand a set as a journey into the unknown. To enjoy this journey you need time, that is why we came to the conclusion of only doing extended sets of at least 3h from now on. This year I will play fewer times, but longer, and if they are all like one of the last sets I played in 2021, we will all enjoy it very much. More than 6 hours, starting at 10:30 AM, after an early morning of Meditation and Yoga in Barbarenas, an eco paradise in southern Mexico. Many things happened this day, you can hear it for yourself. This set is dedicated to the brave fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers who are fighting for a better future at Standing Rock.

In the last weeks I've been following the grotesque picturesque but deadly conflict between native tribes of the land and big corporate fusel powers at Standing Rock in Dakota.
I find it hard to bear when I see my brothers and sisters treated in such inhumane ways. And like with a lot of the horrors that are going on around the world, I get deeply moved and wants to do something about it, but often ends in some sort of despair - for what can we do about all these cruelties? Where to start? With escapism into hedonism? Or how shall we be able to turn over this sick system that has infested the world like cancer and infiltrated every aspect of human life.
The nightmare man created and that we all are recreating and supporting every living hour - brings about so immense pain and fatal consequences - that not only is it going to be our own nemesis - if we don’t change our way of life - but it is already eradicating and endangering all the beautiful life on mother earth. Thousands of species have gone extinct because of mans greed, and with literally dozens going extinct every day, we are all part of a monstrous holocaust.
This grim reality and heavy responsibility is very hard to bear or even deal with, but in music with real soul, deep roots and hope, I feel that I am able to proces it in some ways. Other times when I need to immerse myself in the rave to go through some sort of catharsis I feel blessed that we haven’t eradicated dance culture. For in this ancient ritual I feel a stronger connection to source. And it gives me hope when I in these temporary freespace we create together - to a common beat - meets other souls with the same vibe. I feel a deep sense of belonging when I meet with my tribe and immerse myself in the collective catharsis, the cleaning of the soul, the coming together.  A very important step in awakening as one.


This is why I do what I do all day!

Ezio Aguiar’s “Warrior of Hope” is the musical expression of a zeal for a world which has seen intense happenings recently. On the one hand, forests were burning at record rates; on the other hand, an incredibly mature youth is organizing to take the lead to tackle the Earth’s need for climate justice. Time is running short, but, as Greta Thunberg said, “once we start to Act, Hope is Everywhere”. It extends itself as an invitation to feel into the world, guiding the listener through the path to a deep and warm hopeful feeling.

Besides being a dancer passionate about charming melodies, captivating organic sounds and prominent beats, Ezio Aguiar is a student of renewable energies. Believing in the transformative and connective power of music, he has started to co-organize fundraising events in Berlin for organizations which are combating climate change with reforestation and renewable energies projects.

For this version of VOS, the Lab Coat is being worn by an extraordinary artist in the name of Sangeet. Assembled in his home studio in Berlin, the music addict put together a breathtaking voyage of spirits that blends ethnic aromas with deep, colourful sounds coming from his rich musical heritage.

Sangeet is a DJ and music producer with experience of more than 30 years, well known for combining tribal melodic grooves full of multi cultured influence that lifts up. San Miguel’s musical signature is defined by his various interests and influences of his travels through time and space which manifests itself into a soundscape of hypnotic spheres and deep driven basses. Often combined with folkloric elements and a range of organic instruments, his sound weaves unique tales that carries the audience gently and straight into an ecstatic dance experience. He is a master for clashing the styles and shows a deep instinct for timing and suspense as he draws a bow throughout his mixes that will move any dance-floor that thrives on powerful global beats and psychedelic rhythms. That special composition led him release his own productions on labels such as Leveldva, Underyourskin Records, Lump, LNDKHN, Cosmic Awakenings, Serafin Audio Imprint and many more...

Together with LaniRose (@lanirose_monada), he launched his second electronic music label and sonic community „MŎNɅDɅ“ (@monada-project) in 2018, based by the philosophical monad as expression of the pure eternal essence which exists in every living being. Featuring talents from all over the earth, the label provides a playground for hand-picked and visionary sounds, expressing multicultural and contemporary beauty in modern simplicity. A space dedicated to emotional, deep, organic downtempo and progressive, melodic slowtech focusing on consistent deepness and defined by outstanding sound scripts and creativity.

As "Mônada Project" the two free spirits San Miguel and LaniRose are leading a rental & setup service with a variety of festival equipment like PA, tents, booths and unique light installations, hosting sound-journeys, gatherings and festivals & co-create together with the global tribe.
