Back in March 2014, SoundPark ran a feature on one of the most successful events in Cairo, Egypt. We were lucky to have Hisham Zahran take the helm for the audio and his debut has been one of our favorites from our entire catalog since. Hisham is a master story teller. His sound is patient, intelligent, and soothing. If you have yet to hear him, today is the day to change that. He has played along side some of the industries best tastemakers (Matthias Meyer, Daniel Bortz, Jody Wisternoff, Blond:ish, Sasse & plenty more). His music had such an impact in our offices that we invited him to come to the US for our very first SoundPark Artist Showcase in Brooklyn, NY for his North American debut in September. Over the next hour, Hisham Zahran authors this auditory tale for this edition of the SoundPark Playground.

Together with The Boom Room, Deep House Amsterdam brings you a tasty preview of what is to come by another high-ranking DJ on the event's line-up: mr. Sidney Charles. Hear his thick house grooves and get in the mood for the 22nd of November when you will be able to hear and see the Avotre label's main man in action.

This week’s Source to Cycle comes from Dosem.  A Spanish DJ and producer, Dosem has been releasing music on label’s like Technasia’s Sino,  Danny Howell’s Dig Deeper, John Digweed’s Bedrock and Christian Smith’s Tronic.  Definitely a great roster of labels for the producer to stretch out his brand of electronic dance music.  DJing at venues like Bergahin, Ministry Of Sound, Ushuaia, Pacha and Rex Club, Dosem is set to release his new album, “Origin” on Tronic Records this month.

I recently re-found this recording of an all night long set i played at the legendary Whoosah Beachclub somewhere during the summer of 2015. It was on a spontaneous thursday evening with all the right ingredients for a pop up beach party.  I used to listen to this set myself a lot back in the days, so i thought it would be a nice idea to share this with you during these non-clubbing times we live in.

A bit more deeper, darker and less deep-house mix this time. A mix which is perfect for your afters and sunny sunday mornings in my humble opinion. The vibe strongly reminds me of the "Dark Side of the Moon" mix i made a few years ago, but not as dark as that one was. Hence the title of this mix!
