Perseverance Mix

The Three Crosses EP was written in February and March of 2010 with the ultimate goal of performing a dark and moving soundtrack for <a href="http://www.marshill.com">Mars Hill</a> West Seattle’s <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Friday">Good Friday</a> service. The project began as a discussion between <a href="http://brianwardphotography.com/">Brian Ward</a> and <a href="http://www.fuzzylounge.com/sandman">Nathaniel Blue (Sandman Theory)</a> about trying to merge their rock and electronic music styles together to ultimately bring glory to God. Eight or ten late studio sessions and a few practice runs with Dan Guthrie and the EP was performed one time for the West Seattle Campus on April 2nd, 2010 .

Many who came to the service asked for a recording, which prompted Brian and Nathaniel to make a goal of finishing up a polished version.  Over the last 12 months they worked together and came up with the Three Crosses EP.  All songs were recorded, produced, and mastered by Nathaniel Blue in his basement (AKA the Fuzzy Lounge Studio.)  We hope you enjoy the EP as much as we did creating it.

Sandman Theory is the trip-hop side project of www.soundcloud.com/djsandmanmusic.

He began producing trip-hop, dub, breaks and downtempo beats as a response to the wonderful grooves he was listening to by Thievery Corporation, Fila Brazillia, Kruder and Dorfmeister and many other. 

In the late 90’s, DJ Sandman (Nathaniel Blue), joined Dynamo Entertainment a major name in the Seattle rave scene. He has played along side many of the best DJs in the world including Armin Van Buuren, PVD, The Crystal Method, Darude, Cosmic Gate and many others. He has held residencies with Element Nightclub, The W Hotel, The Last Supper Club, C89.5FM in Seattle. His DJ sets have taken him to clubs all over the US and Canada. By day he works at Valve working on Steam, sound design and music.
