In this clip, Stacey Park Milbern (29) shares about her journey to find disability community. She describes how learning about ableism and disability justice impacted her as a youth. Then she offers hopes for future generations of disabled people.

Audio Recording: Rebekah Ubuntu - A Quest Surviving, Healing And Belonging

Sandra Alland is a writer, performer, filmmaker, interdisciplinary artist and curator. San has published three books of poetry, and stories and poems in heaps of anthologies, chapbooks, zines, magazines and journals. They are also co-editor of Stairs and Whispers: D/deaf and Disabled Poets Write Back (Nine Arches, 2017), and were recently Guest Editor at Disability Arts Online (April 2020: https://soundcloud.com/san_alland_dao.

Other projects have included curating the Scottish cabaret & visual arts projects Cachín Cachán Cachunga! & SEEP, and directing short films about queer & trans deaf & disabled artists. San has received short stories commissions from Comma Press (Manchester), British Council and elsewhere. Their chapbook of short stories Anything Not Measurable Is Not Real was published by Proper Tales Press in 2019; its audiobook version can be found on this channel (funded by Canada Council), and film-stories on San's YouTube.
