Answer Code Request is my guest in Episode 30 of Portal the podcast. We met for the first time some years ago and since then we've been constantly in contact. Kostas aka AgainstMe is a greek Berlin-based DJ, Producer & co-founder of SOCIETY 3000 and
core member of USM Recordings.
In 2016, at the age of 17 years old, Kostas had already started his carreer under a different
alias in a wider range of electronic music. His music had been released in different labels
arround the world , but as he was young, he was still discovering hisself and what style of
music expresses him the most.
The project “AgainstMe” came in life a year later after his first Rave / Techno parties in his
home island Lesbos, Greece and It was inspired from the continuous struggle of the human
beings to align with their inner voice.

For him at that point, techno sound and “ideology” had showed up as something completely
new, uniting and revolutionary which was going against everything that he had experienced
before. The hypnotic melodies and the heavy drum patterns along with the ritualistic vibe of
these parties made him immediately fell in love with the everything around this sound and
what it stands for.
Since then, his music got released on different record labels around the world and during
2021, he managed to have three physical releases. Some of the most important releases
during the last years were, his first-ever record “Inequalities” released on Liquid Drops, his
album “Synopsis” in Subsist Records, “Melting Bodies” in Mekanika Recordings.
He has already enjoyed support from online platforms like 6am, Hate, Monument, Electronic
Groove & Beater, and artists like Umwelt, Sev Dah, Rodhad, Kangding Ray, K-Hand, Mikael
Delta, Richie Hawtin, Marco Bailey and many more. On top of that, he has collaborated with
the talented Moritz Simon Geist for his project “Raving alone”.
As a DJ, he has played in different venues / parties like About Blank, Qreclaim, Astron Bar, Six
D.O.G.S, Temple Athens, Suicide Berlin, Polygon Berlin, Kilihaus Berlin , and many more.
Currently, he has just built his new studio in Berlin and he is experimenting a lot with Modular
Systems and unorthodox producing techniques.

With his punk attitude and his unmistakable hypnotic-driving sounds, Stigmatique has been an integral part of not only the Leipzig, but also the German techno scene for more than five years now. 
In 2017, he founded the label Seelen with his friend and partner JANEIN, which has become an indispensable part of international techno culture. As part of events in places like About Blank, Distillery, IFZ, Die Rakete, as well as international clubs like the Meet Compact Club in Italy or the Grellen Forelle in Vienna, he continued to make his way and began to assert himself against the old-established techno artists. As a resident of the Distillery in Leipzig, he has been providing damp, sweaty club nights for three years now, and as the initiator of this year's Distillery Tour, he is also playing throughout Germany.
