The Smoking Trout continue our tale of the Quest for the Holy Dumpling. This time we're joined by our biggest crew yet! Stonerjazz (Jeff) got us started and somehow the whole process unfolded quite organically from there. TexMex Shaman (Stephen), Jo Richter, Tot (Masa), Jeff and Tea R Sea (Terry) are regularly recurring members of the band. Those individuals on wheels had a hard time finding their feed. Hungry they were - for that special dumpling that connects you to anything pagans and believers alike deem holy. Although endowed with holgraphic properties, you can't walk on clouds unless they are numbered. They kept drifting upwards, therefore, slowly upwards until they hit the ceiling called Mars. Mars always happens to be where your head needs something to bump against. That's the nature of war.

This song is rather long. After all, it's also about a very long journey. We know that not everybody like long songs. We have an excerpt of this song in a completely different version with only guitar accompaniment. That would be the short alternative. Journey To Enceladus

Galileo's telescopic observation of the moons of Jupiter orbiting the planet  was a black swan moment for the Church's earth centred view of the universe. As ever those whose long held beliefs were challenged by the facts did not react well. Plus ca change.

I have been working occasionally for years (at least since 2017) on this track, looking for a sound that could be acceptably evocative and hypnotic. Needless to continue at this point. I am unable to improve it with my skills. 

Heliopolis (Ηλιούπολις) was  an Ancient Egyptian city, the capital of a district of Lower Egypt in Pharaonic times (located north-east of Cairo, nothing remains of it today). It was of great importance in the religious life, due to the deities worshipped there: especially Ra, a solar deity who was later destinated to occupy a central position in various religions, including Roman. It is to this solar cult that the city owes its Greek name.
