The Dolly Vardens are a rural country-folk sound from the quiet town of Salmon Arm, British Columbia.  The stylings of Nathan Meakes’ vocals and guitar lead this home grown trio to explore B-sides of little known artists and lesser known songs that ponder life’s big questions of spirituality, relationships, environmentalism and political matters.  The tension between the eclectic blend of repertoire is mirrored in the arrangement and instrumentation of their sound, particularly in their three-part harmonies.   These elements are blended with the vocal, percussion and ukulele stylings of Roxy Roth and Poppa Dan on the bass, harmonica and vocals.  FINAL THOUGHT.
