and jukebox heros sing their worn-out lines,
I  try and cure my pain with each shot of  whiskey,
I'd call home but pretty sure nobody is gonna miss me

Play songs of love lost in desert dust,
Of coyote howls and hearts that rust,
as I listen, my guitar against my chest,
In that dim-lit bar, where time took a rest.

Elegante, portentoso, misterioso,

A guardare l’orologio della piazza,

Quando mi sono accorto di una cosa diversa,  
Non ero io che guardavo,  
Ma era lui che mi stava studiando,  
Come se fosse stato messo lì, una sentinella.

E se avesse una memoria,  
O addirittura potesse parlare,  
Quante cose potrebbe dire, un'infinità,  
Comincerebbe dal passato,  
Ci spiegherebbe le differenze di ieri e di oggi,  
Le feste che ha vissuto,  
La gente che ha conosciuto,
