Mit diesem Set wollte ich mich für den ganzen Support von Freunden, Family, Fans und Seiten bedanken. Ihr ermöglicht es mir meine Musik mit größerer Reichweite zu teilen und ich bin schon gespannt, was die Zukunft bringen wird. 
Vor ein paar Tagen hatte ich einfach Lust ein Set mit Liedern zu machen, die nicht 100% up-to-date sind. Als ich also durch meine iTunes Bibliothek durchging, ist mir aufgefallen, was für liebevolle und schöne Lieder dabei sind. Bevor ich die Idee hatte, das Set für euch (also meine Fans) zu machen, dachte ich, dass ich, wie DJ Koze schon gut im Interview erwähnt hat, eine "Mixkasette" für jemand zusammenzustellen.

Als ich dann nah an den 20'000 plays war, hab ich mir gedacht, dass ich 2 Fliegen mit einer Klappe schlagen kann und deswegen, ist dieses Set jetzt auch für euch da.

The double A-side EP, Hold Me, is Golden City Boy Raik's debut release. Raik founded the Hamburg-based label, Golden City Sounds, with German house legends Boris Dlugosch and Isi Tüfekci (otherwise known as one half of Digitalism) in March 2013. Hold Me is the label's third release, following Dlugosch's Look Around You single, featuring Roísín Murphy (Moloko), and Polargeist + Kruse + Nuernberg's Good Times, a deep house, feel-good anthem of the summer.

For the first track, Hold Me, Raik teamed up with Henri aka Henrietta Tiefenthaler, producer, DJ and also singer in the psychedelic Krautrock band Thrillionaire. With her romantic, dystopian lyrics, Henri's hypnotic vocal delivery gives an emotional depth to this slice of shimmery, pop-electronica.

The second track, La Musique, is a euphoric club tune, a perfect counterbalance to the more rhapsodic melancholia of Hold Me. With its hooky synth line, infectious groove, and sexy French spoken word vocal, its arrangement is flawless and guaranteed to suck you into its retro-futuristic world.

The Story : Nobody Hates the Groove
The first thing that strikes us upon listening to German Duo Saite Zwei's productions is the immense groove which emanates from them. On the border of genres, this rather rare duo in the electronic music landscape offers us new ways of apprehending it. Rock, Funk, Melodic Techno, Jazz, a fusion of genres, as if this duo had selected along the years of their experience, the best in each of these approaches of music, to extract a unique sound of which they alone possess the secret. Having proved themselves with noticed releases on UNIVERSAL and Label Tach&Nacht, we are happy to present their first release on Cepage Music.

"Chant de la Lune" (Song of the Moon), and "Conte de l'Avant-Nuit" (Tale of the Forenight), are two sides of the same coin, inviting the listener to a night travel, ranging from percussive organic grooves to fat acid bass lines, blending powerful punchy moments with relieving acoustic breaks.

Through the generosity and the passion they have put in this EP, Saite Zwei reconnect us with here and now, granting us with a revitalizing hearty breath of fresh air.

Er ist schon seit 2009 ein fester Bestanteil der Amsterdamer Clublandschaft … ob  Into the Woods Festival, Shoeless, Welcome to the Future Festival … Daniel ist überall zu finden. 

Mit dem Alter Ego Kraut tauchte er vor ein paar Jahren in den Global Downtempo ab und produziert seitdem unwiderstehliche Tracks mit diesem besonderen Tiefgang.

Through music, on the one hand I feel more connected to the world and all its weird and overwhelming moods, and to its sad and also horrible stories. On the other hand it reminds me of my responsibilities for the world as someone from the richest countries of the global north.

Für unsere Nr. 125 haben wir einen geheimnisvollen musikalischen Tiefseetaucher an Land gezogen, der uns mit seinen zart-bitteren, winterlichen Klängen verzaubert. Wir dürfen euch vorstellen: Loki Styx aka "Really bad guy from deep Space. Unholy Lord of the mighty FancyDancers. Rogue & Bouncebringer at Night." Har, har.

Informationen gibt es so gut wie keine über ihn. Aber ehrlich gesagt, wer braucht schon einen gängigen lyrischen Lobgesang zu all den tollen Dingen, die der oder die Künstler eben tut/tun? Schließlich handelt es sich schlussendlich doch um einen musikalischen Podcast. Ganz genau, Musik. Und hierfür liefert Loki ein gewaltiges Statement ab, das seinesgleichen sucht. 

Zurückhaltend, gedämpft und mit viel Liebe zum Detail schippert er durch die weiten Welten verschickter, langsamer, elektronischer Musik. Ohne zu Untertreiben, aber von Anfang bis zum Ende lässt einen das Set nicht mehr los. Zu toxisch ist die in sich tragende Stimmung, die die Tracks erst im Zusammenspiel erzeugen. Wer nach dem berühmt berüchtigten roten Faden sucht, ist hier absolut an der richtigen Stelle. In seinem Set geht es auch ebenso wenig darum, tolle aktuelle Tracks zu spielen, sondern eine individuelle Note zu transportieren, die sich keineswegs auf ein Genre reduzieren lässt. Dafür aber umso mehr auf ein Gefühl. Und das heißt hier: 'Entspanntes Treiben lassen'. Chapeau Loki Styx.

Für seinen Remix zu @armenmiran's Nummer „Lost Found“ ließ er zudem den Geist und die Klangfarben seiner Kindheit einfließen. „Als ich das Original gehört habe, fühlte ich mich mystisch und emotional“, gesteht der türkische Musiker. Deshalb wollte er eine Version voller Mystik, Traurigkeit und mit einer Seele kreieren. Das Original, die „Lost Found“ EP, war das erste offizielle Release von Armen Miran. 40 years djing:
In 1985, Sangeet began his DJ career at Zorba The Buddha in Stuttgart. Around the same time, he moved to Berlin, where he started organising private parties. In 1987, he made his first visit to Goa.

Bringing back a wealth of music to Berlin, he became increasingly involved in organising parties and began his first collaborative music productions. From the early ’90s on, he was an integral part of festivals like VooV and Antaris Project, where he frequently worked as a stage manager while also performing his signature groovy and melodic sets, spreading joy on the dance floor.

In the early 2000s, his musical style evolved from Psytrance towards Progressive Trance, later transitioning into House and Techno. In 2016, he discovered a passion for Downtempo music, and by 2017, his first releases had dropped. Since then, Sangeet has been refining his love for a deep, trippy blend of house and downtempo sounds, consistently releasing new music.

He also held a ten-year residency at KitKatClub, performing there until 2020.
