올해로 밴드 나이 열세 살. 3호선버터플라이(3rd Line Butterfly)는 한국의 인디밴드사를 관통해온 산 증인이다. 보컬 남상아의 폭발적인 매력과 기타리스트 성기완의 속 깊은 음악적 추구, 베이시스트 김남윤의 기술적인 탄탄함과 실험적인 이펙팅, 드럼 서현정의 순수한 비트가 어우러져 한국 록에서 유래를 찾아볼 수 없는 음악적, 세대적 폭을 지니고 있다. 이들은 스스로도 대화하고 그 대화의 결과물을 공감의 장으로 끌어들인다.
 
첫 앨범 [Self-titled Obsession] (1999)은 당시 우리에게는 흔치 않았던 노이지하고 사이키델릭한 사운드와 시적이고 서정적인 분위기를 결합하면서 새로운 록음악을 제시하였다. 이후 [Oh! Silence] (2001), [Time Table] (2003)을 잇따라 발표, 대중성에 구애 받지 않는 실험적인 사운드와 특유의 개성으로 매니아층의 사랑을 받아왔다.
 
이후 EP [Nine Days or a Million] (2009)과 서울소닉 투어를 기념하며 제작한 [Ice Cube] (2012) 등을 발표하며 건재를 알렸다. 끊임없는 변화와 새로운 사운드의 모색, 서정성과 노이즈의 결합, 실험과 대중성의 공유, 꿈과 현실의 합일을 지향하면서 8년만의 4집 앨범 [Dreamtalk]으로 돌아왔다. 느슨하지만 방향을 잃지 않은 그들은 한마디로 '새롭고도 여전하다'.
 
"니가 더 섹시해 괜찮아"는 현대카드뮤직을 통해 'Sexy'라는 타이틀의 뮤직비디오로 선공개되었다. "쿠쿠루쿠쿠 비둘기"는 유명한 멕시코 란체라 송 중 하나인 "Cucurucucu Paloma"의 개사 버전이다. 모든 녹음과 믹스, 매스터링은 멤버인 김남윤이 담당하였으며 커버 사진은 하시시박의 작품이다.

'Rockstar City' is a postcard home to my Mum about my first gig in New York City. I signed up for a 15 minute slot to play at the famous Bitter End, where all the folk stars started out in the 1960s. Bob Dylan had been a regular there, Billy Joel had played 'Piano Man' there two weeks before I performed, and Etta James, Joni Mitchell and plenty other rockstars had sung there too. The names could be read off from the list of past performers on the wall behind the bar and I was really nervous. I powered through and even though I was a bit shaken and awkward I made it out okay. This song's about taking everything in and celebrating the little wins you get sometimes and sharing them with the people you love. 🗽
