Israeli artist Gil Bokobza delivers MoBlack Records' latest imprint, yielding two tracks that are inspired by Afro depthness and sonic wanderlust. First up, the gifted DJ/producer gathers a symphony of lush earthly sounds, mesmerizing strings and limber synth-laced progressions. Propelled by vibrant rhythms and effusive vocals, 'Lema' carouses through an uplifting groove and melodic rapture. 'YeladiM' then trails graciously, driving the EP home to a lasting finish. Swayed by orbicular vibrations, cosmic riffs and airy instrumentals, this buoyant anthem pulses with intuitive rhythms, reveling in timeless playfulness and candid harmony.

With “Ubuntu”, Shahrokh Dini translates ancient africanism beats into an epic contemporary state-of-the-art – afro house tune.

Ubuntu, which means humanity in Zulu and describes an African philosophy, reflects Shahrokh’s explicit statement in these wrecked political times. The superb re-work by mastermind David Mayer elevates the original to a deep, mystic and lush afrosphere.

Shahrokh Dini left Karlsruhe, while he is even more active than ever in his old and new basecamp Berlin. Not even that he played a lot of nice gigs during summer (Amsterdam, few times on Ibiza, lot of gigs in Berlin, Italy, Corfu, Sardinia), he is also busy in the studio with several releases and remixes (btw.: one for Compost artist Felix Laband).

After the first release of his new activities: “Now We Can Dance” with the strong and lovely vocals by Illinois, here comes the follow-up “Ubuntu” with a lush David Mayer re-work.

For both releases we can announce stunning remixes by Lehar (Diynamic Music, Connaisseur Recordings), David Mayer (formerly Keinemusik, Ouïe), Apoena (Freerange), Omer Tayar (The Gardens of Babylon/Tel Aviv), Patrick Zigon (Biotop, Traumraum), Tooker (Ouïe, Crosstown Rebels), Kovi and others, which will be out on vinyl, too.

Shahrokh Dini - Ubuntu (David Mayer Remix) [Compost]

Reuxen hails from Pretoria, South Africa, and is a DJ, producer and sound engineer at the forefront of the Afro-house scene. He has already played on stage with some of the greats and has his own ethereal, atmospheric and emotional take, which he demonstrates here. The instrumental of ‘Darkness’ was made in 2020 - a very dark time for many in the music industry. In 2021, Karaph added her contribution to the track and pushed her emotional vocals forward to tell a sad tale of heartbreak. It sets a fantastic tone above the Afro house drums that is dark but beautiful alongside the sparse yet detailed piano that leads the atmospheric backdrop. Remixer Enoo Napa is an Afro-house legend and a producer of consistent anthems for the scene. He changes up the rhythm feel and adds an edge of abstraction, perfectly setting up the fragile vocals for a hypnotic ride. These are two more authentic Afro-house sounds from scene pioneers at connected.

Markus Swarz - New Element [Future Avenue]

Sanio & Zarth is an alias for DJ’s and producers Leo & Erhan. The duo got to know each other in Nuremberg, Germany, where both of them went to study engineering. Leo was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is half german. Erhan, on the other hand, was born and raised in Germany and has turkish parents. The interest in electronic music was mutual and so intense that they soon decided to become roommates and make music every spare time they had. The different origins have a great influence in their mixes, as well as in their productions, and through that they try to tell their story and touch peoples hearts, souls and bodies.
