Body exhausted but brain won’t stop

As I’m wont to do

Overthinking rules me
I can’t break free
It’s myself that fools me
Into thinking I see
A line of thought that’ll lead me out
Of a mess of regrets, around a wall of doubt

All the way to Zed
Bouncing round
Inside my head
I grab one and it splits into three

If I could see a future nearing
One with you appearing
That’s what I have sought
And without another thought I’d volunteer/ would decide
So please appear/To take that ride

And when I’m at the point of collapse
About to burn out my last synapse
To restore my mental state
Just once more I contemplate
A simple life lived simply by your side
It’s the one option I haven’t tried
It sure would be fun - not having lots

Ingvar Tautra https://soundcloud.com/agnosturaelwar recently posted a group of instrumental tracks for open collaboration. One of them was a charming solo guitar that really spoke to me, but also seemed a little lonely up there all by itself. It is the first thing you will hear. I added to it only minimally, a bass and two guitars.
