Jessie Granqvist joins for DifferentSound Podcast #180.

Jessie Granqvist [Hypnotic Woods/Under bron] Since her debute as a DJ in 2011 she has been resident in several undergroundclubs which formed her as an artist and person. With roots grounded in raves and open airs, she has gained notoriety for her style of trippy and meditative sounds merged together into a very danceable mix. With both technicality and an eclectic selection of records, she has the talent to truly build and build a long lasting vibe on every floor that she appears on. Since her start Jessie has been seen in almost every dj-booth in stockholm (where she is based) as well as clubs in Berlin, Amsterdam, Beijing etc.  2018 she played her first liveset at Uppsala artmuseum in a collab with artist Timothy Wilson. Jessie is one of the founders of collective Hypnotic Woods. They host events regularly at venues in Stockholm both over and underground.

The tunnel is a magical stage and im very grateful to have been asked to play the Saturday late afternoon set, before one of my biggest electronic-music inspirations, voices from the lake. I took the opportunity, considering the impeccable programming, open minded crowd, and perfect soundsystem to play a more slow building, delicate festival set - which felt very true to my real taste, and an homage to many of my deepest and longest standing inspirations. Wir begrüßen gemeinsam das Frühlingserwachen zur Tag-Nachtgleiche.

Für unsere Ahnen war der 21. März ursprünglich der Jahresanfang, den wir ab 15:00 Uhr in einer feinen und privaten Runde an einem magischen und fantastischen Ort zelebrierten möchten.

Ein Highlight des Tages wird eine schamanische Kakao Zeremonie sein, wer daran teilnehmen möchte, sollte bitte mindestens 4h vorher nichts mehr essen. Zwischen 16-17:00Uhr beginnen wir dieses tief spirituelle Ereignis.

Musikalisch wird der Tag von einem DJ begleitet, neben Trommeln und Klangschalen dürfen gerne eigene Instrumente mitgebracht werden für eine gemeinsame Jamsession.
