Unveiled

Dive into a warm bath of dreamy ambient and hypnotizing club-ready synth patterns with Modo Mero’s debut EP ‘Bits and Pieces’. With his cloudy harmonies, long melodic lines, and rich grainy textures the Dutch-born producer and live performer creates an electronic nebula of musical bliss and compelling compositions.

Throughout the past year, Bits and Pieces was created in Modo Mero’s hometown in the countryside where he spent a lot of time experimenting with recorded sounds and created soundscapes inspired by the peace and quietness of his surroundings. The record therefore came to life in a playful way by gathering little ‘bits and pieces’ of these sessions and gluing them together as a whole. It displays glimpses of synthetic landscapes, leaving us in a dreamy world of atmospheres, all with a sense of kindness and warmth.

Celebrating the extensive history of electronic music while still exploring the limitless means of modern music production, Modo Mero is mastering the illustrious art of merging, fusing, and blending styles and sound. Whether you are floating in a nightclub or staring out the window on a late bus ride home, there is always a time and place to listen, drift away and letting your mind conjure up a story of your own.

That was what it was really like to overthink - to be caught in a state of confusion and disarray, stuck ruminating of the weirdest and wildest fantasies unsure as to which might break the magnificence of the deep, dense cycle. For now he'd simply look from his window, gazing out at a world which carried on regardless...

Barcelona duo Sumluv are set to release a new EP, the pair have been reworked and reimagined by Otik, a special producer who has a unique capacity to deconstruct and rebuild material in a unique and innovative fashion. This latest reimagining is no exception and is due for release on Faneca Music.

Master sampler Fed Conti has a way of making grooves sound as light as a feather, elevating kraut and jazz phrases to dreamy realms where the imagination is tickled. To kick off the forthcoming debut https://soundcloud.com/progedia_fedconti album, revered producer and remixer Charles Webster adds his inimitable touch to the single ‘We Are The Night’, expanding on Conti’s heartfelt arrangements, playing with beats and textures, as he travels smooth melodic lines.
PROGedia is the newest alias of the Italian producer Fed Conti, also known as Mahjong and Nardis. After having played his Hammond organ with several jazz deities, and produced samples for Coca Cola and Universal, he is finally unleashing his kinky musical imagination in the PROGedia album; ‘We Are The Night’ kicks off a mixture of kraut, psychedelic grooves and nu jazz, tied together through clever arrangements and a refined sampling process. ‘It’s an escape from modern decadence,’ says Fed, who adores the authentic and offbeat. It only makes sense, then, that the first track of his upcoming album is called ‘We Are The Night’; during the darkest hours PROGedia’s retro extravagance can claim a foothold, offering a warm breeding ground for quirkiness, infatuation, and musical liberation.
The renowned producer Charles Webster, too, is a real music fetishist; he got his first instruments at the age of 13 and went on to collaborate with the likes of Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, founding his own Love From San Francisco project and following with two decades of classy and sophisticated music productions. For this occasion, he has added his unmistakable touch to the ‘We Are The Night’ title track, complementing PROGedia’s infectious grooves with poignant rhythms and motley textures.

Barcelona based Annie Hall drops her debut EP on 20/20 Vision ‘Maruxaina’, following releases on D1, Detroit Underground, Semantica, CPU and most recently our Exit Planet Earth vinyl series. Annie’s eclectic and uniquely expressive output has seen her serve up tracks that take you straight to the dance floor, alongside complex and inventive musical soundscapes.

Kicking things off on the A side the title track ‘Maruxaina’ draws you in with nostalgic breaks and bass trudges, complimented by warm echoed chords and hypnotic tones. Next up on the A side ‘Meiga’ serves up a driving groove with deep rolling drums and patterned glitches, intertwining uplifting chord progressions and a soothing vocal, forming a uniquely mesmerising electronic soundscape. 

‘Brétema’ opens up the B side with a space bound atmospheric gem, grounded by a solid break groove yet elevated with cinematographic synths and harmonic melodies. Wrapping up the EP ‘Sarabia’ provides an unapologetic experimental expression that blurs the boundaries of genre, with off kilter pads, deep kicks and edgy glass synths creating a beautifully obscure serenity.
