The second installment of the HD Series is now available, hosted by YU. The Italian producer has released only a few vinyl records, notably on Loft and Art of Dark, but has already become one of the artists capturing our attention. At the crossroads of techno, EBM, and prog, YU's music pushes the boundaries of modernity while cultivating a certain nostalgia for the '80s, both in sound and ambiance.

For this mix, YU made us the honnor to propose a set composed entirely of his own productions—some you may have already heard in clubs, and others you will likely hear in the near future...

HD Series 002 - YU

After making a mark with their first album together, ""Pineto Connection,"" Lorenzo Fortino and Brody return to the studio to advance their idea of music that remains impulsive yet at the same time more structured. Within this EP, you will hear different influences, all traceable back to an ""Italian mood,"" giving life to an album that will linger in turntables and the minds of many for a long time. The album opens with ""Amarcord"" (A1), where raw drums, bass, and the pad seamlessly drive the piece, taking the dancefloor into the essence of Italian club culture. On side A, ""Sensazione"" (A2) continues, a soft Italo deep house track with Lorenzo's vocals providing an almost melancholic allure. The B side begins with ""Giacio"" (B1), a tightly wound house track (128 bpm) where straight drums, a compelling bassline, and dreamy synths make it a must-have to keep the dancefloor moving. Closing the album is ""Da Qui Al Mare"" (B2), a single despite being part of the EP, reflecting the idea of giving a distinctly Italian imprint. Brody, Angela, and Lorenzo's voices (almost echoing from the beach) blend in this deep tapestry that mixes multiple genres, aligning with their vision of a more elegant Italo disco.

For the third VA of the Off The Grid label we have brought together the always dynamic expert DJ and producer tINI of Part of The Gang, co-owner of the elegant Berlin collective Overground Records, Rickie, GNMR, certified Italian "Dj Dynasty" owner of Dubblack Records and finally the promising hyperactive Belgian producer Session 4000.

En nuestra edición número 17, Vinz es quien presenta su última grabación desde Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

La música para Vicente es el punto de encuentro entre su creatividad y sus emociones, y es aquí donde lo conocemos.

Siendo una persona paciente pero dedicada de lleno a la musica, tuvimos la oportunidad de escucharlo tanto en los ámbitos más íntimos como en distintos clubes de la ciudad. Sorprendidos por su profundo diggin y su capacidad de adaptarse a distintos escenarios, decidimos compartirles su arte.

In our 17th edition, Vinz is the one who presents his latest recording from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Music for Vicente is the meeting point between his creativity and his emotions, and this is where we meet him.

Being a patient person but fully dedicated to music, we had the opportunity to listen to him both in the most intimate settings and in different clubs in the city. Surprised by his deep diggin and his ability to adapt to different scenarios, we decided to share his art with you.

Santa Cata Records was conceived in the record store, Santa Cata in Palma de Mallorca.
Founded 5 years ago it has become a hub for local artists, an essential digging spot for visiting DJs, as well as being open to all music lovers.
With the vibrant local scene producing so actively, setting up a label was a natural step for us, providing a platform for the artists living on our beloved island.
