Vétéran de la scène psychédélique montréalaise et DJ depuis 1985, Adityo a été un acteur clé dans l’essor du mouvement rave et de la trance Goa à Montréal. Dans les années 1990, il s’est imposé comme une figure majeure, aidant à définir et à façonner cette scène vibrante. Aujourd’hui, il explore de nouveaux horizons créatifs et se consacre à l’écriture de nouvelles imprégnées de magie et de mystère.

A veteran of Montreal’s psychedelic scene and a DJ since 1985, Adityo played a pivotal role in the rise of the rave movement and Goa trance in the city. In the 1990s, he became a defining figure, helping shape and energize this vibrant scene. Today, he explores new creative paths, dedicating himself to writing short stories infused with magic and mystery.

We often succumb to our heart’s desires just to turn around and blame Lucifer,- Satan, the devil, whoever one wants to call it - for having made us do what we intended to do. We all have mental strength, and with that decide, design and create our own realities. We map out our own life paths. I chose Morning_star as my stage name because of the allusion to  this imaginary evil entity. I want to walk in the shoes of this imagined character and just force people to somehow take responsibility for their actions. I imagine just what this character would have been if he hadn’t let his dark side overpower him - we all have ‘the dark-side’, by the way - the musicality, the wisdom the strength to heal and paint pictures through music. Even if one doesn’t believe in the biblical story, I want you to imagine the character of Lucifer every time you hear me speak, but imagine him in a different light. Imagine him as remorseful and admitting to his sins, but unable to totally vanquish his heart’s desire and earthly cravings. We’re all sinners, we just sin differently and I believe not one single person does evil because that’s who they are, we’re changed by circumstances. With music I aim to provoke deep feelings and thoughts, I aim to create a medium of emotional exchange among thoughtful individuals.
