Cocoon Recordings celebrates the 100th release! Well, to be honest we are even over the 100 meanwhile as our anniversary release needed some time to get well prepared and to make sure it will be a very special one. And „very special“ is not really hitting the spot here when we look at the package that we have prepared for you: A triple pack of 12“ vinyl is waiting here for you including new and exclusive tunes by Lawrence, Nick Curly, Andre Galluzzi & Dana Ruh, Secret Cinema, Pig & Dan, Extrawelt, Recognition aka Jacek Sienkiewicz and two gems by Loco Dice and Ricardo Villalobos! However this is only the beginning as there is a double-CD, too that contains the tracks by the above standing heroes and further exclusive material by Dominik Eulberg, Minilogue, Sante & Frank Lorber, Popof, Timo Maas, Gregor Tresher & Petar Dundov and one track by Electric Rescue. And as it is our 100th „birthday“ we added a pair of slipmats and stickers, and made the whole package a limited „numbered“ edition on top!

So there is a lot of new food to support the current vinyl-renaissance and we hope to see & hear many of the Cocoon Recordings #100 tunes on the beloved wheels of steel around the globe over the next weeks! This should be the right package to celebrate the magic number 100 and it continues with our sound and philosophy that brought you monster tracks by Argy, Guy Gerber, Extrawelt, the already-a-classic „Geht's Noch?“ by Roman Flügel or Danny Wolfer with his unforgettable „Legowelt – Disco Rout“ (just to name a few out of 100). And not to forget all the great albums by artists like Minilogue, Johannes Heil or Dominik Eulberg, and even more all the mix-CDs & DVDs including the most-wanted „Sound Of The Season...“ compilations by Cocoon head Sven Väth! So we needed some time to come up with the right celebration pack here and we are sure this is it! This is the right way to say THANK YOU to all the involved artists in over 100 releases so far and even more it is the right way to THANK YOU, our fans and supporters! Without you this magic number would not been reached at all!

Following up on a great sequence of releases and prodigious artists showing up on our label this 2021, we are very excited for another great debut. This time we are glad to welcome Vanucci, one of Brazil's most talented producers from new generation. 

Vanucci who has been showing a new side on his productions recently, has been focusing a little bit more on classic house and Jackin' House. That's exactly what he brings with 'Just Can't Stop', a typical Jackin House track that brings back the spirit from Disco and put it into modern house music beats that would shake up any dance floor around the world.

As much as we 'just can't stop' listening to the track we hope you have the same uncontrollable desire of dancing without stopping.

Vanucci - Just Can't Stop (Original Mix)

Next on NoZzo Music, we are pleased to present a pairing of talented Spanish producers. Gustaff & Meisterik collide for their 'Feel The Weekend' EP, bringing along Santiago Bejarano & Rsquared on remix duties, respectively, to complete an impressive release.

Opening the release, 'Feel The Weekend' jumps straight in with rolling grooves and catchy components. Punchy drums and crisp percs bounce off an irresistible bassline, whilst creative fills, samples & a captivating vocal topline add yet more flavour.

Santiago Bejarano's remix of 'Feel The Weekend' comes next, bringing with it a more underground and percussive-focused vibe. The track's potent combo of heavy set drums and rhythmic sub-bass drive it forwards as subtle melodies and vox injections ripple alongside.

'First Class' follows, with a deeper and looser swung structure. Jacking drums and crisp hats meet a rich and rhythmic sub, intercepted in places by splashes of synths and subtle male vocal chops. This one is a real basement groover!

RSquared completes the release with his remix of 'First Class', flipping the original on its head. Throwing down rolling drums, blistering fills and sizzling hat sequences, it's a first-class terrace tech revamp that will have hands in the air and feet moving nonstop.

Colombian brothers Dem Boyz return to Unnamed & Unknown for their full label debut, featuring a remix from Brazilian duo Lit Square.

Following their feature on our ‘NYE 2022 VA’, the Casas Brothers, AKA Dem Boyz, are back on the label with a full EP for the first time. Joining them on remix duties, Brazilian duo Lit Square makes their latest first solo appearance since collaborating with 4MATIK on our ‘#4’ VA last year. 

‘Bonus Tracks’ opens the release on a promising note with rolling grooves and rhythmic sub-bass, setting the tone for the rest of the EP. Watertight drum work and crisp percussive layers add plenty of cadence to the mix whilst tonal elements ripple throughout the track. Breaking into the tracks bridges, be ready for quirky melodies and creative vocal cuts leading to punchy drops!

‘NGGYU’ is an instant classic, and you’ll know why at a certain point within the track. Another impressive display of plentiful rolling Tech prowess from end to end, the track’s bulletproof mix of rhythm and musicality is only bolstered further by an iconic vocal arrangement and catchy overall construction. 

Lit Square closes the release with their remix of ‘NGGYU’, steering it in a slightly different direction. Building around an unavoidably catchy bassline melody, the track focuses strongly on the musical element alongside that nostalgic token aspect of the vocal components. Watch out for that mammoth piano solo, what a way to end the EP!

We’ve got a label debut this December on Pirate Copy’s Kaluki Musik from Dutch DJ and producer, Simon Kidzoo, who teams up with fellow Dutch artist, Rob Stillekens, to deliver their debut ‘Keep Movin’ EP.

Having grown up with a love of House music, Simon Kidzoo has spent the last few years honing his sound and experimenting with different styles and genres. Rob on the other hand is a relative newcomer to the scene, kickstarting his DJ career in 2020 after winning a remix competition for Mike Morrisey, citing the influence of Richy Ahmed, Joey Daniel, wAFF and Iglesias as inspirations for his productions.

Between the two artists, they have built up an impression catalogue of releases on lauded labels including Toolroom, Club Sweat, Nervous, Big Beat, Armada, Etiquette, Saved and Nothing Else Matters, to name a few. The ‘Keep Movin’ EP showcases both artists signature sound and style combining Rob’s percussive grooves and deep basslines with Kidzoo’s crisp drums, grooving low-end and complex percussive rhythms throughout. With support already flooding in on the title track from Marco Carola and Ilario Alicante, you can expect to hear this on dancefloors across the club circuit this festive season.

Uk talent Will Taylor debuts on new Deeperfect brand label “Deeperfect Shift" with a bumping release entitled ‘Acid EP’.
Will has come on leaps and bounds in recent years, garnering the attention of some of the most sought after labels and promotions in electronic music. His tenacious work ethic and passion for creating captivating club tracks have seen him mature into an artist with a definitive sound - something that is largely attributable to his recent surge in prominence. “Acid” It's a masterfully slippery groove with spinning hi hats dancing over the restless kick drums down low.
