Density records DJ sets in a new format that allows you to edit and master the set after.

The Density hardware connects to DJ Decks via the network switch. It logs everything that occurs on the decks and mixer. Once the set is done, you open it in the Density DAW, which is designed for mixtapes.  It breaks out the set into individual tracks and transitions, all of which are editable. It's like getting a word document of a set instead of a photocopy.

This has a number of benefits:

Mastering-Grade Quality — Density does not record ANY audio. It logs the actions that are taken during a set, similar to midi. When the set is opened in the DAW, it will ask you to locate your DJ folder. It will find the tracks, and then it recreates the set using those. The result is a mastering-grade quality set. It’s not a recording of a recording that’s been run through a dirty mixer. 

Never forget to hit record — Density records when the DJ plays. There is nothing to press, it doesn't capture dead air, and it can hold thousands of hours of sets.

Never Distorts — Because audio is not recorded, the volume can be turned down in the DAW. Never lose a set to distortion again. 

Removing Unreleased Tracks — Quickly remove unreleased material that normally prevents a set from going out.

Consistent Loudness — Mastering tools to keep the volume consistent across the set so the listener isn't forced to adjust the volume 

Rider Friendly—The artist is the only person who can open the set, so they maintain complete control. This is permissible under many rider recording restrictions.

Born in San Jose, Cesar Castro starts his musical career in the beginning of the 2005. Influenced initially by house and techno, his technical skills, ability to connect with the crowd and he’s diverse musical style has made him one of the most active and versatile DJ´s in Costa Rica as well as a  warm up specialist in the country and resident in the most important clubs of San José:. Club Vertigo and Antik with his signature party BASSement Groove.

Over the past 5 years Ces Castro has shared turntables with different top level Djs as Nic Fanciulli, Nicole Moudaber, Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber, Fatboy Slim, Cuartero, Dennis Cruz, Technasia, Dubfire, Chus and Ceballos, Anthony Attalla, La Fleur, Wolf and Lamb, Rich Medina, and Bontan just to name a few.

Like an Artist Ces has participated participate in Festivals like Desert Hearts, BPM Festival, Envision, Resistance, Ocaso, Life in Color and countries like Ecuador, Guatemala and Panama and Miami just to name a few.
