Two weeks ago another piece of bad news hit the DnB scene, Impulse, part of Sinthetix and Corrupt Souls had passed away. Another influential artist for the earlier techy DnB I was into has left us. Therefore I dug up all of vinyls associated with him, Sinthetix, as well as Rob F and Kiko for almost a 2 and half hour live vinyl session to celebrate all of his amazing music from the 2001-2007 period! Rest in peace Josh...

The next show will be in either four weeks on November 29th, or six weeks on December 13th. I can't do the show in two weeks from now as November 15th is my birthday so I'll be out celebrating. I might be traveling for work two weeks after that, but that's still uncertain. Juan aka Juandroid, resident DJ and member of Zürich’s Divercity crew got hooked on Drum&Bass in 2006 when he heard “The Trip” by Logistics on Hospital Records, the first track to introduce him to the genre.
He has been DJing steadily for twelve years, showcasing his broad taste of different styles and musical genres in his varied sets that range from Rollers to the more mellow styles and the sparse oldschool classic. 
Juandroid regards his residency at the Swiss Hospitality-series as his personal career highlight, since it’s always taking him back to those early days of falling in love with the music. 
We are happy to feature Juandroid’s first podcast in our series and look forward to hear him play out much more in the future.

Having welcomed and supported the Hit & Run and Hoya:Hoya club nights at FABRICLIVE for a number of years now, it’d be a fair snap assumption to say that we’re interested in the output of a set of very clued up Mancunians. But this Friday we welcome another side of the city: the vocal side. With the multi-talented emcee, DRS having become a solid and near omnipresent voice in our venue, we’ve long heard the distinctive Manchester accent booming out of our custom made rigs, but the LEVELZ crew are collectively so much more than a set of colloquialisms delivered with verve and in a northern twang. They’ve proven already that there’s a fantastic set of vocalists, poets and emcees within the city limits with their live streams, sets on radio and this video so we’re super excited to be welcoming their faction into Room Two this Friday (22nd May) – especially when JME and co. are performing in Room One.

To celebrate the occasion and toast the successful LVLZ tour that is currently bubbling, resident DJ, Jonny Dub has put together a raucous mixtape that features the vocal talents of most of the LEVELZ crew. As such, her sound doesn’t fit your expectations, it rumbles you; bold and uncompromising, deep and rolling with mercurial arcs and twists. Her background and influences might be familiar to many of us; getting down to techno as a teen and raving to jungle at free parties before she was old enough to drink, but her sound also broods with a heaviness born of an early love of heavy metal (Hollie-May’s dad played in the thrash metal band Kaotika) and explores a darker side to the form. Now well established she has been shuffling nebulous shadows of big, bad sound next to the greats, performing alongside Ray Keith, Aphrodite, Goldie, Nicky Blackmarket, Bladerunner, Mampi Swift,  and Saxxon, to name just a few.
