Back on Stil vor Talent after contributing a banging remix to Oliver Koletzki and Fritz Kalbrenner's 'Heart on Hold' a few months ago, Bulgarian producer Pavel Petrov turns in his debut solo transmission for us, 'Parallel'. Comprised of two cuts that give full vent to his epic-sized vision and monumental buildups, Petrov's newest bridges the gap between frontal sonic assault and a sensorially effervescing sound design. As cascades of pumped up Italo arpeggios and languid pads mingle in a cosmic symphony of sorts, 'Parallel' opens up a portal to some unknown clubbing dimension, where a brooding, near-dystopian atmosphere crosses swords with hypermodern EBM brutalism and grime-informed vox sampling.
