I finally got around to making that vocal version I had promised of Allium. I had a lot of fun writing the lyrics and recording this. I had a ton of fun diving into flower meanings and whatnot.

The 16th

Allium (Memoria) - vocal ver.

‘Night Before Dawn’ is a resistance song that I imagine Wilbur would write soon after he’s exiled from L’Manburg. He sings this song and teaches it to others to give them hope and inspire them, but he’s already starting to lose it himself. Even after his death, this song would still be sung by others in various contexts, as it becomes a well-known ballad.

After Schlatt was elected into presidency in L'Manburg, he ordered for the citizenship of two of the founding fathers, Wilbur Soot and Tommy Innit, to be revoked. This song is about Tommy, and how he felt and what he went through having to deal with being banished from what was once his home.

On the 16th of November a meeting was held among the members of Manburg and Pogtopia, with the looming fear of an imposter amongst the group. The imposter turned out to be the man himself, Wilbur Soot. With the values that he build L'Manburg on now long gone, Wilbur decided that the best option was for him to blow it all up.
