A collaboration between Sapta and Amrit (IN) and the 6th song in the X bandwagon, 'Imaginary walls' implicitly asks us to crush those imaginary walls of limitations, or slavery, or physical borders we have built around us. Once the walls come down, our creativity will see no bounds.

Remixing this track was a profound experience dappled with inspiration from one of Aotearoa's most beautifully sculpted dancefloor journeys at Twisted Frequency Festival over NYE <3 I like to think I encapsulated some of our small psychedelic island's vibes in this one. Ngā mihi.

The X is musical story encompassing all the ideas and the energies that a young global population represents, more specifically from the global south, led by India. It is the story of the churning that India, as a nation and a conscious collective, seems to have gone through in the 21st century and more recently since 2020, the year of the pandemic.

The Victor writes the law; in our case the international law, so far dictated by the west. Though it is now seeing the Indian and the developing world's scrutiny and check. From scoring films and ad campaigns to selling out headline shows across India and Europe, Sapta has consistently evolved while staying deeply personal. Whether in the studio or on stage with a high-energy live setup, Sapta continues to redefine what live-electronica can sound and feel like.

Blending raw emotion with cinematic soundscapes, Sapta has carved out a distinct sonic identity across India’s electronic scene. With a career spanning 11 albums, the Chennai-born, Goa-based producer and composer continues to push creative boundaries with every release.

Black Box is a sonic vault, a place where every pulse, glitch, and breath has been archived and reimagined. Across seven expansive tracks, Sapta pieces together fragments of memory and emotion, shaping them into a body of work that feels both vast and intimate.

Drawing from Live-Electronic Music, Indian rhythmic foundations, and sweeping orchestral flourishes, Black Box unfolds like a transmission from another dimension. It’s grand in scale, yet pensive in spirit. From the explosive urgency of “Open Fire” and the cinematic weight of “Leap of Faith,” to the layered tension in “Signs & Sirens” and the hushed introspection of “Micro Expressions,” each track reveals a deeper layer of the self.

This is Sapta blurring lines between machine and myth, silence and sound. Minimal yet emotionally rich. Futuristic, but grounded in something timeless.
