RNS & I started "Seraph" in early 2019, we decided to change the name to "Saraphim" once we learnt there was already an artist named "Seraph" in Dubstep.

We're currently focusing on producing 140 with a Middle Eastern and Grimey flavour, layered with lighter melody.

Nikita Mironov, Igor Nesvetaev, and Serge Kiselev are no strangers to a good drum ‘n’ bass track. Working together as the three-man production powerhouse known as Champion Sound, they’ve released no less than two dozen such tracks over the past two years. Dub Raw, Dub Communication, Through These Eyes Records, Defrostatica Records, Unchained Recordings and Kniteforce Records are among the labels where Champion Sound sounds can be found. Throughout it all, Neeketone, Distant Roots, and General Koondoongoo, as they’re also known, have helped plant Russia firmly on the 160-180 bpm map. 

Now on their latest outing, the Muscovite bad boys have concocted a coupla tracks of the sort that we at Frozen Plates absolutely thrive on. While hints of their junglist roots are easily discernable, nods to reggae, dub and even dancehall similarly punctuate the sound schematics. It’s a smorgasbord of bass dynamics that will nestle nicely in any 140 set, whilst enlivening dancefloors in the process. Saying it loud and proud, FZP17 is where Champion Sound’s latest can be found!

Keeping with precedent, Frozen Plates is making 30 black 10" vinyl available, but for this special occasion, red and transparent variants will be available as well. Three producers, three colors :) All records are hand stamped, and all are cut by our favourite cutting houses, namely Pressure Mastering and Dub Studio.

The 5th volume of our Free Dubstep series is here, in what will be its last outing for the foreseeable future. So that makes it all the better that we've gone out with our best one yet!

We have a returning cast of label regulars in the form of 1point5, Ekula and Tik&Borrow who bring their various percussive flavours to proceedings. Hexy follows up from his October EP with a track that showcases a different side to his production, whilst Qwirk brings those grimey flavours we love in his production in preparation for his debut EP on the label in January 2022.

We see the welcome return of Mungk to the label following his last release on the label in 2019, whilst we also welcome back Coxon and SHVA who delve back into the dubstep side of their productions following their mutant shenanigans on Coxon's 'ICKY EP' in 2019. Last but not least, we have newcomers Mentom and Tmbr who smash it out of the park with their track 'Find Me', and Nomia who kicks off the release with his sublime track 'Bellstep' - expect to see more of this trio in the future!

Essex based duo Saraphim is RNS and RDubz two producer DJ’s who generally work around the 140 spectrum, mixing in ethnical influences into their music. They can also be found making any style of music that comes to mind in a studio session under the duo name of RNS & Rdubz for their more experimental work.
Graduating through Education & Bass, RNS & RDubz have been going under the "Saraphim" alias for 2 years, this release follows a single release on
Education & Bass, a 4 track EP release with Locus Sound, a track on Sentry Records’ Syndicate Pt 2 compilation, a remix for Dread or Dead Records, 2
releases with Japanese based Vomitspit and also most recently appeared on a compilation for the previously mentioned Locus Sound.
When it comes to dj mixes they like to keep the energy up with system music but melody is a mainstay in the direction that they go so you can expect weighty sections amongst more musical vibes, ethnic and grimey twists too, that pretty much encompasses what 140 is about for them.

Supporting and promoting the underground sound was always our primary mission, so it was only natural we would undertake actions to extend this vision. We set out to find survivors deep in the Jungle, where times spins at 90bpm and the echoes of ragga samples consume everything in it's path. Sadly, the Junglists were never found. What was retrieved from the mission was this 30 track audio tape aptly titled 'Jungle Wars Revival - 2018'
